Having read the other reviews I agree with the general consensus; this is a good hotel but with improved customer service it could be an excellent one. First the good points - stayed for two nights in a beautiful room which was huge with everything you could possibly want. Very comfortable, well equipped and spotless; they certainly compare very well... More

We had a interior studio room which had a view onto the atrium - not great, but at least it let in some outside light. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Noise was minimal and it was easy to get a good night's rest. For the hotel class, the breakfast choice was a little below expectations, certainly when... More

Dear Nomad422, Thank you for your review and your feedback on our breakfast service which I have shared with our Breakfast manager, I know you will see improvements on your next stay. For your next stay, for an external view you will need to select a studio room and for a room with a view, its Studio Iconic. I hope... More

I love everything about this hotel: The design, the location, the service, the bars, the food, the rooms and so on. It´s delicate, rather new, impeccable service, quite big rooms, it´s clean, and offers different bars and restaurants. It´s 200 metres away from Big Ben, and both buses and the tube is very close. I´ll definitely go back!

but customer service is a bit lacking. We arrived today, actually, and had six guests (3 rooms) to check in. Check in went rather smoothly, except my room wasn't quite ready (the gentleman checking us in was very nice and said it would be no longer than 30 minutes). It was 2pm when we checked in, so that wasn't such... More

Dear tswanson1, Thank you for your review I’m pleased you love our hotel. As your review was being posted, every effort had and was being made to ensure your third room was prepared and I’m sorry that the timescales kept being moved. We are currently replacing some carpets within our bedrooms and I am sorry that you were offended by... More

Located on the south bank this hotel is modern and shiny but delivers a good quality stay. A great base from which to enjoy London or conduct business. Rooms are a good size and the cafe on e ground floor a great place to watch London rush by.

We had a less than generous budget for our half day event in central London. We got a great quote from Park Plaza and decided to go with it as we were running out of time to find a central London venue. My expectations were fairly low, but I was surprised and delighted. The conference room was spacious, high ceilings,... More

Have to agree with DevOn below - the Staff let this place down. Housekeeping knocked on my door and before I could move from bed to open it, a Housekeeping Manager took her key and opened my bedroom door saying HELLO HELLO and is everything all right. Also I lifted a candy bar out from the small fridge and then... More

Dear RhodyGal, Thank you for your review and I’m sorry to note your stay was not fully commensurate with Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. As you have noted, like many hotels our mini bar operates using an automated system, where items sit on a sensor, therefore once an item is moved or removed a charge is automatically generated. However, it would... More

I stayed here with my wife and two of our children for one night following a trip to the Theatre. This is greta vaue for money, spacious ( we had a suite with a sofa bed) and a short walk across Westminster Bridge from the Houses of Parliament. I was in a taxi later the next day and the taxi... Getting a hotel in London is not easy. If you do not travel there frequently, finding a compromise between rates and quality is not easy. Hotels typically charge you like in only a few other cities in the world, and the experience ends up being disappointing. I took my partner to London for a short surprise visit and I chose... More

This is a modern typical city hotel well located for the tube and attractions in Westminster. However it is expensive. £210 per night is not cheap for what is essentially a bog standard modern city hotel. There is little special about it. There are actually many areas where it could improve. Reception staff are not friendly. My check in was... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighborhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
