Stayed here overnight with my sister before our long haul trips back to Australia a couple of weeks ago. Had organised late check in due to our flight from Prague arriving late and had no problem finding the keys or the room. Were even able to get ourselves some cups of tea from the breakfast room at midnight. Room is... More

I booked this hotel for a two-night stay with two friends. I actually informed the owner we were due a 3pm and sent another email to ask a question and none answers were friendly. When we arrived, we were shown our room who was small but clean (I was afraid when I read the opinions on Tripadvisor but it was... More

We came upon this by searching online for a value hotel for a few days break and chose it because it wasn't too far from the venue we were booked to visit on one of the days. Easier to summarise by "good and not so good" *Good It is located in Kensington, near the lively vibrant King's Road and a... More

We decided to book a four poster bed room here for our wedding anniversary and it was a great stay. Ok so the hotel isn't up to date - that's one of the qualities of it. For the price, and with the location it's ideal. The 2 Australian hosts were friendly and accommodating. We were on the first floor in... More

From the moment you go through the front door into the narrow, dark hallway you notice the worn carpets and chipped paintwork, which carries on all way through this establishment. Our twin bedded room very small, cobwebs on ceiling, cracked ceiling plaster, chipped paintwork, wall paper coming away and even missing in one place. A makeshift, untiled shower had been... More

Pros: - cheap - central location, although it's about a 15-20 walk to the subway station - very comfortable bed - delicious cooked breakfast - has working wifi, although only in the common area Cons: - no elevator (I was on the top floor) - small room (but I was out most of the time so this didn't really matter)... This hotel is not the ritz, but for this price in the heart of chelsea you absolutely can not complain. The host was so accommodating, friendly - much more than I was expecting. The bed was super comfortable and my room was quiet, despite being on a roadside. I didn't wake once! Shower was hot, room was clean, loads of... More

Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to write this lovely review. As you say we are not a Chelsea Boutique Hotel but I do work hard to make sure my guests have a comfortable stay. We have a lot of returning guests. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and I hope to see you again soon. More

Very good location in Chelsea, and reasonably easy to find. Parking is an utter nightmare (see tips below for good overnight spot) The room was a dated conversion with only the very basics for a 1 night stay. Comfortable bed, good TV, en suite shower and very quiet. No tea/coffee, toiletries etc. A good bolt hole to return to after... More

Thank for taking the time to write a review. I agree we are a budget hotel set in an extremely expensive area and are definitely not a posh Chelsea Boutique Hotel. I would like to point out we do provide 24 hour free tea and coffee in the guests kitchen and apologise if this was not pointed out to you... More

Great location for this budget hotel in a lovely area of London. Clean rooms and a brilliant breakfast. And thank you to Kate for her friendly help in finding our way around London. Will come again a real find!

The location is fantastic, right in heart of London and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I have stayed at the Oakley a few times and I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else when I am in London. The breakfast is fantastic and a good excuse to get up and not sleep in through the holiday. I have recommended... More
