The overall experience was very good; super helpfull and friendly staff, free breakfast, free drinks at any time of the day, nice atmosphere in the common room and they even provide you with free earplugs. I would definitely go here again if I visit London again. If I had to name one negative point it would be that the room... More

I stayed one night after a business trip, to enjoy a bit of London, and this place is really good. People are very friendly and helpful, organizing special evening (lucky me it was a friday live music inside the hostel bar !) in a relaxed atmosphere. Not expensive at all, free breakfast, free soft drinks, and always people smiling: what... More

This hostel is located in an area known as Pimlico, an upscale, rather quiet row-style neighborhood that skirts the northern bank of the Thames River on the west side of London. It's to the right of Chelsea on the map. The hostel is a bit of a hike from the Pimlico Tube Station but it's a very enjoyable and scenic... More

I traveled to the TravelJoy hostel from the United States of America with my brother & cousin. It was our very first time in the UK as well as our first time staying in any hostel. We could not have had a better experience! TravelJoy provided us with a free breakfast buffet style, unlimited refreshments during our entire 3 night... More

Nice hostel in a good location where I stayed with a friend for one night, in a 12 bed dorm. Very friendly and helpful staff, comfy beds and a relaxed atmosphere. Very good value for money, especially considering it's in London and all the extras that come with it. Would definitely recommend. Location - On the river front, with a... More

I really liked this hostel - the location is perfect. Quiet residential area right next to the Thames. If you have an Oyster Card or a Travelcard, you can easily hop on the bus that stops directly in front of the hostel - this bus stops at the Pimlico Tube Station, Victoria Station, Westminster Abbey, Westminster Bridge, Trafalgar Square, and... Travel Joy hostel is without doubt the best hostel I ever visited. Located in a central part of London it is vert easy to take the bus or tube to the different sites and museums you want to visit. It is rigjt next to the river and about 20 minutes walk away from the house of parliment and the big... More

This hostel is located a convenient distance from main attractions, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the facilities were clean. That being said I would urge those considering a visit to spend the few extra quid for your own room - with 12 people sharing a small room (and coming and going at all hours) it is difficult... Up to now, I didn't even stayed in a hostel, even in the college times. However, London is to expensive to stay even in a B&B, so I thought it worth a try and chose the best hostel in London according to Booking. It was not horrible but it was ok even for me who didn't ever stayed in a... More

At £10 a night this place represents amazing value for money and my compliments to the young staff for running such a slick, friendly operation....From the quality of bed linen, cleanliness, security etc there is nothing here I would criticise after 3 days and I left a very happy camper...I never used a bus/tube once because I could walk everywhere passing so... Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
