My wife and I have been travelling for three months, and in all of our travels we have not encountered a staff team as exceptional as these guys and girls! They are so wonderfully friendly and welcoming. It is clear they all get along really well, and they genuinely care about you and how you are. A real pleasure to... More

Gem on the Thames is an understatement for this place. It's an absolutely amazing hostel. Offering free breakfast every morning which includes pancakes, omelettes & smoothies (AMAZING). They also offer free unlimited soft drinks, free wifi, free tea/coffee, free walking tours, free maps of london, free linen/towels and free laundry powder! It can't get much better than that, but wait,... More

great facilities, friendly staff, super fast wifi, free soft drinks(soda, for you yankies) all the time, reasonably priced beer, comfy beds, and 15 minutes walk to town centre or a 5 minute walk to closest tube station, power outlets for every bed, large common area. cannot recommend this hostel enough.

I only stayed for one night with a friend in March, but the staff was so helpful! They gave us a map of London and labeled all the important places, gave us an unlimited bus/tube pass for only 9 pounds, and unlimited soft drinks anytime! The bar downstairs has a very cool vibe and the beds were clean upstairs. There... More

A friend and I stayed for a week in March. The hostel was very easy to locate, thanks to their great directions provided on the website. The breakfast (included in the price) was excellent - exactly as detailed on the website. The wifi was free and worked well in the room. The room itself was clean, as were the bathrooms.... More

We stopped in early to drop of our bags, which they were glad to do. After the baggage was locked up, they insisted we have breakfast before heading out on our walk around London. We hadn't even checked in yet! Who doesn't like free breakfast?! We returned in the evening and ordered some dinner. It took a little while longer... More

The overall experience was very good; super helpfull and friendly staff, free breakfast, free drinks at any time of the day, nice atmosphere in the common room and they even provide you with free earplugs. I would definitely go here again if I visit London again. If I had to name one negative point it would be that the room... More

I stayed one night after a business trip, to enjoy a bit of London, and this place is really good. People are very friendly and helpful, organizing special evening (lucky me it was a friday live music inside the hostel bar !) in a relaxed atmosphere. Not expensive at all, free breakfast, free soft drinks, and always people smiling: what... More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
