Small room, but all we needed for a marvellous week in London. Spotlessly clean, serviced daily and an excellent breakfast. Helpful staff and free wifi. A lovely beginning To our month in the U.K. Walking distance to district and circle lines, wonderful position!

Stayed at hotel for two nights. Room was a double but very small. As room was located at back of hotel, we're not disturbed by road noise but did overlook air conditioning units from other buildings. The air conditioning in the room was not efficient enough to cope with hot weather. Conveniently located for Kensington Palace and other local attractions.

Plain and simple, booked a Deluxe room via Expedia. Called the hotel to confirm the booking straight after only to be told they had sold out of deluxe and that I had booked a standard. Called Expedia, who spoke to the hotel at the same time. The hotel guaranteed I wouldn't be charged and the matter was resolved...6 weeks later... More

Stayed here with my family for 2 nights in a triple room. Kensington underground station is about 8 min walk from this property. Room was OK but bit noisy at times as our room was facing the road & its not soundproof at all. Getting big luggage on upper floors is bit of a challenge as elevators are outdated &... More

Really small hotel near the park. First time I passed the hotel because there is only a small entrance. You can use the elevator or the stairs - but beware of the stairs! There are much of them. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast wasn´t a big thing. We decided to eat outside. Rooms is cozy - I have had a... More

We booked this hotel as we were attending a concert at the Royal Albert Hall and wanted to stay nearby. Situated right on Kensington High Street right opposite Kensington Gardens (which were beautiful) the entrance is a doorway between 2 restaurants, I almost walked past it but thankfully knew what to look for after reading previous reviews. Our room on... More

This place is like an Escher fever dream of awfulness. The layout is beyond absurd, narrow staircases leading you up and down narrow rows and false doors and fake windows. The rooms are minuscule to the point of parody. The wifi goes out with a sneeze.

I booked a single room as I needed somewhere to stay whilst attending an evening event in London. As other people have said, the rooms are quite small, but I found it cosy, clean and decorated nicely. My room was at the back of the property so no issues with outside noise. Upon entering there's a long staircase you have... More

Fantastically placed at the foot of Kensington Palace. Polite, friendly and attentive staff. Good continental breakfast range. Rooms a little small but well appointed and spotlessly clean. WiFi very reliable and fast. Highly recommended.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
