I stayed at this trendy hotel this month. It was my first visit to this area of London. The area is not exactly located in the heart of the city but about five minutes walk to the Bethnal Green underground tube, and about 15 minutes on the train to Oxford Circus. The area buzzes with activity during the daytime. The... More

Very nice hotel at an affordable rate for London. Well, it's a few miles from downtown but the public transit system will get you downtown in a hurry. The neighborhood is a little rough but the hotel makes up for it. The staff are very accommodating. The rooms are spacious and clean.

We stayed there at the very opening of the Town Hall (March 2012), before the Olympic Games turned the East end into a hipster and cool place to stay also for tourists. We stayed in a great apartment with kitchenette and living room. The hotel is the result of the refurbishment of a former Edwardian town hall and has maintained... More

The hotel had some retro furnishings throughout which was a nice touch. Fresh milk is available near reception so you can make decent tea & coffee in your room. There is also a coffee machine in the room along with a kettle. Marble floors in the room throughout, and although this gave a clean feeling to the room it was... More

Had a great 1/2 week stay at Town Hall during my last trip to London. The hotel is stylish, sophisticated and conveniently located just a short walk from the Central Line tube station, which made it easy for me to get quickly to multiple locations throughout London. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, the room clean, spacious and comfortable, with... More

On first impressions a chic and stylish very "London" hotel. However, it lacks in practicality and depth. The room was cold and despite cranking the heat up, never got hot. There was a service door constantly banging outside the room. This would shake the apartment and happened every 30-40 seconds. The dvd player did not work. The layout of the all... More

Myself and my husband stayed last Saturday night . It was his birthday weekend in London. This was my second stay at the hotel- which is very beautiful to look at. Because I had had a sleepless night on my last stay, I had been tempted back by a small discount, with assurances that the Christmas Party which had kept me... More

Posing as a classy hotel though in a yet to be fashionable run-down district, the Town Hall couldn't provide so much as a biscuit in the room, no working TV or radio, no bar, no hot water even during my one evening there!!. But they managed a totally pretentious small restaurant with a ridiculous menu. Have you ever longed for... More

So... I tried to book Town Hall via their website and nothing was available. I gave the front desk a ring - same story. Went to Expedia.com and voila! I was able to book a room quite easily. Not sure how that worked but glad we were able to book as we have friends living just a block away and... More

The Town Hall Hotel is a beautifully converted building with an impressive reception area. We took advantage of an offer RE price and were upgraded on arrival to a one bedroom apartment which was spacious, clean and well appointed. The kitchen, although we didn't use it for cooking, was well equipped and the complimentary water and fresh milk much appreciated.... More
