I just returned from a 2 night stay at this location. For the price and location I had a wonderful experience. First things first, this is a serviced apartment not a hotel. So no, you're not getting daily housekeeping etc. However the service staff was excellent and attentive. As for location, yes the building is in a more residential area... More

Go Native is an apartment with small kitchenette. For London price is ok, but the place is quite small. You really have to like each other because the only place to relax is the small bed. Slept well after shutting down the heating, it was like a sauna when we arrived. Best thing of this place is the really awesome... More

The location is handy to visit the Imperial War museum as its very close to Borough tube ( maybe 10 mins by foot) which is just 1 stop away from Lambeth south ( the closest tube fior IWM Dont book this if you want to be in central London, its about 15 minutes walk south of the shard and london... I stayed in a triple with friends, in this structure. The room was spacious and clean, the staff friendly and helpful. the hotel is in a good location close to the metro and in the center, the hotel is a bit old and should be renovated. However, the assessment is positive.

Having read the reviews after having book an apartment for two nights, I was concerned about what I was going to find. Firstly, the location is 10 minutes walk from the Shard and London Bridge station and tube. The walk was quite simple and whilst through a housing area it did not cause me any concern and references to the... More

There are a few point mentioned by previous guests. They are correct. The neighbourhood is a dump, if you walk in the direction away from the Shard and the Tower Bridge. The checking in went slow. In general at all hotels I have no idea why it has to take so much time. They know you are coming. I understand... More

Then I got to my average room and the tv wireless and microwave all weren't working.the people on reception were arrogant and rude and were no help at all!!!!... More

Stayed at the back end of September. As others have stated it is not close to London Bridge and located in Bermondsey, while not a vibrant part of London there are worse areas. Check in was satisfactory and the room finished to a decent standard but for nearly £200 you would expect the room to be comfortable to sleep in... More

I stay in lots of hotels and from the reviews I wasn't expecting much. However, they put us in a rear facing room as requested which was a good start. The one bed apartment doesn't have a separate door between bedroom and lounge so if one of you wants to go to bed early, the noise of the TV might... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
