Liked: The staff were welcoming and helpful, good central location, easy to find, the pub downstairs is very homely and you get a discount on drinks if you are staying at the hostel. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The breakfast included a choice of 4 cereals, brown and white toast, 2 types of fruit juice, tea and fresh coffee... More

Location is great as you can see from any review or map. I used only half of my planned prepaid Oyster card because I just walked to so many places. The location is bad! It is very close to the train station. In my room i can see the people on the train and whether they are reading newspaper or... More

This is the first time I have stayed in a Hostal & it was absolutely fantastic. I usually stay in hotels around London but will no longer be wasting my money. The location is great, the staff could not be more accommodating & the owner is an absolute gent. We had a large group so managed to get an entire... More

Warlus hostel is a very nice hostel just near the London Eye. Less than 500m far from Lambeth North tube station a bus number 148 (to/from Victoria station) it's very convenient for travellers. Staff is friendly and kind, prices are low and reasonable. Breakfast include. You also have a 15% for drinks at the ground floor bar, which also is... More

I stayed at The Walrus April 3rd-5th and had a pleasant experience. The staff is extremely helpful especially considering my luggage weighed over 50 pounds....they actually carried it up three flights of stairs....amazing! I was pretty reclusive during my trip only because I was sick (I was coming from India and I had "Delhi Belly" lol). I found the facility... More

I have mixed feelings about the Walrus, there were things that worked and things that didn't. Firstly I was unsure as to whether I had found the right place as the ground floor just gives the impression of being a public bar. However, on check in the staff were very friendly and helpful and even showed me to my room... More

I admit I was scared to stay in a hostel based on things I had heard from friends. However, on my first step into The Walrus, my preconceptions were laid to rest. The Walrus was one of the best experiences I could have asked for staying in London. The staff were genuinely helpful and lovely. The rooms and bathrooms were... More

A short wander from Westminster and Big Ben, tucked just beneath the arches of Waterloo station, even before you get through the door, the spindly redbrick work of the Walrus hostel presents you with a certain kind of quirky London charm. Inside, The Walrus resembles something a little like a revamped adventure from Arthur Conan Doyle. The walnut wood and... More

The Hostel was fantastic. Friendly Staff, Good service, great atmosphere, clean and comfortable. The extras such as towels, linens and valuable lock up are all included in the price of your stay. The pub down stairs is a great place to meet other travelers and hang out (perfect for traveling solo). It also has good beers/wines/spirits for a reasonable price.... More
