A quick walk to the London Eye, really nice location in terms of nice pubs and restaurants. The bar of the Walrus is fantastic really cute and comfortable. I also loved the staff a pot of all cultures with great stories and not bad to look at :). They also were very attentive and very fun I couldn't say a... More

I stayed here for 7 nights, and thoroughly enjoyed myself! The location is excellent, 5min walk to Lambeth North, not much further to Waterloo, also lots of buses nearby as well. There are lots of places to eat and drink nearby, especially down lower marsh road, and just in the surrounding area. Also, when walking down lower marsh road, make... More

Walrus hostel is situated in a brilliant location. Reception were extremely welcoming and helpful, particularly the Australian guy who helped me up to my room. He was brilliant. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The noise from outside was a bit loud but nothing unbearable. My only real fault was the bathrooms. They were fairly sub par. Still,... More

Stayed here for 5 nights this month, the hostel is nicely located 1 min walk from North Lambeth station (underground/tube), 5 min walk to Westminster station and 5 min to House of Parliament/Big Ben/Westminster Bridge/London Eye. You can leave your luggage at the hostel if you arrived earlier than the check in time (1430). They serve breakfast every AM and... More

Stayed here for one night in a dorm on the 4th floor. Location is fantastic and it's super cheap. Staff were mega helpful and great to chat to plus they have wifi and a discount on drinks for guests - a major bonus in London! There's a great atmosphere in the bar plus they have excellent taste in music. Room... More

I stayed here at the end of August 2014, and had a really great experience. The hostel is located in a really good location, easy to walk to some main attractions like the london eye/aquarium/wax museum/big ben, and close to a metro station. Full-sized towels, wifi, a duvet, and a pillow are free - which was great. They also rent... More

Among the hostels I tried in London I liked this one the best. I stayed there twice during my last trip to England. During the first visit - when I had a first floor dorm - I didn't have many ifs and buts. However when I stayed in Walrus for the second time, accommodated on the 4th floor, I coudn't... More

The hostel itself is located in pretty much the ideal hub, especially for a first time London tourist - Big Ben, London Eye and central London are pretty much located within a 10 minute walk from the hostel. It is located literally under a bridge just near Waterloo station ( covered by Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern, Waterloo and City line as... More

Location was great; 6-bed dorm room was clean. Bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner. There was no kitchen, and a so-so breakfast in the bar on the ground floor. The staff was great! The biggest negative is the fact that the rooms face a switching station for the London subway trains. Every hour of the day and night, trains... More

First, the staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave me tips to get started my first day, and looked up locations of things I knew I wanted to see, printing out maps and helping me plan walking and rail routes. Free wifi in the rooms and in the pub is a perk, they will get you fresh towels whenever... More
