Love love loved it! Rooms were clean, breakfast of cereals and toast included (they have Vegemite!! ) Staff all really inviting and helpful. 2 for 1 cocktails in the bar go down a treat! Great value for money. As it was so hot all the windows to my room were open making the train really loud and waking me up...... More

This is the first hostel I have ever stayed in and I was nervous to say the least. But from the moment I checked in to the moment I left, I felt cared for and safe! There are lockers in the rooms (unless you are in a private 2 person room) and the beds are comfortable. Depending on what room... More

Excellent hostel, the staff are all very friendly, beds are comfortable , it's clean, the showers are great (although when the place is full there aren't enough of them!), breakfast is excellent with a super choice of cereals, biscuits, breads, spreads, juices and even fresh fruit! The only problem is that it's really incredibly noisy, being right next to Waterloo... More

I can't say enough how much I like this hostel. I've stayed there three times before and are now going back for my forth time! The staff is soo friendly and will help you with anything, the rooms are nice and there are a lot of private toilets and showers. The reception is located at the ground floor and is... More

So I'll start by saying that I've already reviewed this place once when I stayed at The Walrus for two weeks in May 2013. I was so happy with my stay that I chose to do it again in May 2014! Just when I thought I couldn't have a better time than I already had - I did! I stayed... More

Good: Very near Waterloo Station and Westminster Bridge, nice breakfast in the bar, good internet, friendly and helpful staff, towels and linens provided Bad: The noisiest place I have ever tried to sleep in my life because of the screeching trains tearing into Waterloo Station and the jackhammering on the tracks at 3am (one night I only slept for 1-2... This hostel was great even though there were some bad points. Good: breakfast was great each morning, Clinton at the desk was great, popular bar downstairs, location is great, very close to tube, trains, south bank, and lambeth has hidden gems. Bad: the trains are SO loud, I knew we would expect noise but WOW, I didn't realize how bad,... More

The facilities could use an upgrade. Bedrooms were fine(you get what you pay for) but the bathrooms need a lot of work. They should be better maintained. The atmosphere of this place is unbeatable. The staff were friendly and helpful(thanks Jake and Josh!!! You guys were amazing) and the bar downstairs played not only the greatest music, but also had... More

The good - the staff were great. Friendly, interesting and always available if we needed anything. Free breakfast in the morning and discounts on drinks in their bar. The bad - being right next to a main train station (and literally right next to it. You can hear the announcements from your room) became incredibly irritating after a few nights.... More

Will definately not be back! Staff were helpful, however, we got back from a night of sightseeing to find hair in the bed as if it had not been cleaned since the previous person. Was very grossed out! Staff do give you earplugs but that still doesn't block out the noise of the trains going past the window. Worst hostel... More
