Stayed with my three daughters for a trip to see the sights of London. Very impressed. Excellent location near Kings Cross was a great base for touring. While a bit noisy, it was near the A501 ring road so that's the price you pay for the convenience of the location. Kings Cross is not the most salubrious part of London,... More

I saw a review of this hotel in a magazine years ago when it first opened it's doors, and it looked like my dream hotel! I always use Splendia to book my hotels, and when I saw that the rough luxe was now in their selection, I decided to go for it (along with 2 friends), paying more than we... More

Definetely not a usual Hotel, is more like an experience. Great concept, you can feel like at home with all the support needed from the staff. The guys managing the place are really polite and frindly, you can even stay in the yard chatting with them and drinking some wine, great when you travel for business. Very clean and very... More

Accepting it is wimbledon week and I struggled to find anything in budget, this is mis-represented. I can accept the red light district area if the interior was genuinely luxurious. It's not. Token art decor pieces in lieu of paint or doors that lock are not acceptable. And who describes an old analogue tv that doesn't work as decor! I've... More

Whilst the location is excellent, the hotel is not. The rooms are tiny and cramped. Our bed was pushed against the wall and still the bedroom door couldn't open fully. The glass panel in the main door between the room and the public hallway meant zero privacy, and the motion sensor light in the hallway was extremely annoying if you... More

I get the concept. In fact I love the concept. The "rough" image of the hotel is right up my street; shabby chic all the way. The art works are gorgeous, the furniture eclectic and well put together. But there was no luxe. At all. Bedroom and bathroom was tiny, no-one on front desk, glass panel in bedroom door (!!!)... More

Fun, friendly, shabby - chic, great bathroom, great for a night out in town, room small, but not cheap. Staff lovely. IT is not for those who are planning an evening in. Need strong legs for the stairs. Breakfast great.

If you are looking for a rather personal, than the typical 4/5 Star hotels - Rough Luxe is your hotel. More Luxury Bed&Breakfast than Luxury Hotel it offers a very personal atmosphere with very friendly staff. Perfect Location (just across the road of St. Pancras/Kings Cross with train to Gatwick and national/international locations, Underground station), although due to this central... More

A quite unique hotel, very much at the extreme of shabby sheek, the opposite to coorate. A good caring service. Both our rooms were very different in size and character. Really nice around the table breakfast, nice guy who served on

I routinely seek unusual/quirky/boutique hotels, so the very name of this property was seductive. Unfortunately (especially for the 2 colleagues I dragged along), RoughLuxe London has several dealbreaking deficiencies that far outweigh both the potential charm and the price point. There is no elevator, and the best rooms are on the 3rd (= 4th, for us Americans) floor. My highest-level... More
