Nice place. Small but cosy. Quirky decor. Great location, 2 mins from Kings Cross. Don't book if you're a snob. Very different. Can't really ask for more from a small and well priced B&B in this location.

I loved my stay at the Rough Luxe! Everyone was very friendly, and helpful. The location near the train station is fantastic, and the design of the hotel is brilliant. Yes, it has small rooms, but it's a renovated historic house! Would definitely stay there again.

We loved the style of the hotel, the concept really works. Beautiful modern bathroom and very comfortable beds. We were made to feel very welcome at every point of our stay, we received a complimentary room upgrade when we arrived and every request we had was met. We were only booked in for one night but had there been availability... More

We chose this hotel as something a bit special before heading to Paris by Eurostar and it is certainly close to St Pancras. However, if you have any luggage at all it isn't a sensible choice. We had to get two suitcases up and down two, very steep and rickety flights of stairs and when we got there found there... More

I'm genuinely undecided about what sort of rating to give this hotel. The hotel's website makes it very clear exactly what it's like - partially renovated, excellent bathroom, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed etc. In addition, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Personally, I found the hotel a bit too "rough" for my taste. I found the room more depressing... More

Started our poorly with an unmanned front desk and no one answering the after hours phone numbers (would have been fine if this was advertised). Meant we had to kill two hours in the train station before dropping off our bags. Once we finally got into the room, it occurred to us that we were in a guest house, not... More

This hotel is perfect if your looking for a unique boutique hotel that close to public transport. 5 mins from kings cross made my visit so stress free. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating, from the moment we arrived till we checked out it was very personable. I shared a 2 bedroom suite with friends and was not... More

I stayed here recently with 3 friends whilst we lived it up in London for the weekend! The location is great - literally a 2 minute walk from Kings Cross station. The design of the hotel is what it says in the name... Rough Luxury! Our bathroom was beautiful. Very modern, great shower and spacious. Our rooms on the other... More

Stayed her last night. The staff are lovely. Very friendly and accommodating. Booked into the potentially shared rooms, and didn't actually realise what a shared bathroom meant. Never been to a hotel that had that before. Luckily, we had both rooms to ourselves. The rooms are certainly small. Even for european / french standards. If we'd had to share the... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
