Stayed her last night. The staff are lovely. Very friendly and accommodating. Booked into the potentially shared rooms, and didn't actually realise what a shared bathroom meant. Never been to a hotel that had that before. Luckily, we had both rooms to ourselves. The rooms are certainly small. Even for european / french standards. If we'd had to share the... More

I get the scruffiness but what I really didn't like was how cramped the rooms are. There's no space for any luggage. You can't even open the big heavy doors fully in the rooms as there's just no space. We also had a problem that the door to our room wouldn't unlock, it is so 'rough' it isn't actually functional... We stayed here for a mid week treat it was everything it said on the box. The art is good and the rough luxe brand definitely gives you food for thought. We had the family suite which had there been four of us would have been a bargain.Concierge was helpful, beds were really comfortable and linens towels soaps etc to... More

We stayed for a Friday night. The bath is fabulous and worth the visit just on its own. The view from our bedroom window was of the roof and clock tower of St Pancras and was beautiful. Great location opposite the station. I would def stay again.

Found this place looking for a take-it-easy hotel on a business visit to a client's office in Kings Cross. Brilliant ethos, probably brilliant execution in 2008 but fails on basic hospitality, in fact probably infringes some basic human rights. I arrived after a long train journey and needed the toilet. And there it is - some basic advice; check if... More

The location is perfect but the room I had was so small...even if I had the family room with 2 bedrooms, I could hardly find space getting around my luggage...the beds are fine. The location is very noisy so bedrooms on the back are better. The decoration is great, a mix of old papers with nice modern bathroom.

I stayed in this hotel for 1 night before getting an early morning train to Paris. Perfect to get to the Eurostar literally just crossing the road! Hotel is nice and quirky to stay in, rooms are a little small but made up for by good service, comfortable beds and a yard out the back for us smokers. I would... More

I booked this hotel at last minute as I was already in London at the time. Myself, my sister and my mother always have a collection of hotels that we would like to stay in and this one was top of the list. So we rang up, and fortunately they had a free room - although they had originally said... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
