Locate in the heart of the City, at the back of Bank of England, this hotel is opposite of BlackRock and close to many company offices. The room is clean and relatively spacious (in London hotel standard). The facilities are good. Overall price is reasonable so it is a good value for money.

We were greeted by very polite staff and offered a table big enough to work from The hotel was not over crowded, but had a nice amount of people around. the staff were helpful and attentive but not over bearing. Overall a wonderful venue and a great 'find' in London. I will definitely be using this hotel again soon.

Could not be happier with the result of booking Apex for our London wedding. We came from Australia to get married and started the process of organising the group booking around 18 months in advance. We had excellent communication at all times and were offered excellent rooms and prices. On arrival, the venue did not disappoint. Service was impeccable and... More

Had three nights here and had a great stay. Upgraded to a large room with balcony which made the stay even better as used the balcony a lot due to very hot weather. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and tried something different each morning. It is a little out the way but if was fine... More

Myself and my husband stayed at the Apex for a charity ball in London. It was brilliant value (for London) at £130 for the night including breakfast and only a 5 minute walk from the nearest tube (Moorgate). We were greeted by very polite staff and offered a glass of Prosecco on arrival. As we were going to the gym... More

I have stayed in the hotel on many occasions and have always found the staff very customer focused and professional. The hotel is clean and modern and very well maintained. I was very impressed with the food quality and choice. It remains my business hotel of choice.

great stay can't be faulted - we stayed in a previous apex hotel in London but opted for this one for a change - the hotel is based on the financial district and is very quite at weekends which is brilliant! We had arrived early and thought we would be dropping our bags off but our room was ready which... More

When I arrived 28th March this year to spend a night away from home to relax and do some studying I was greeted by lovely reception staff. I was really impressed by their customer service skills. Hotel looks lovely. Room looks nice. What I was really impressed by was the bathroom. It was great and well above a standard hotel.... More

A sightseeing, theatre visiting, stay in London, turned into a luxury weekend because our room at The London Wall was exceptional. A stand alone bath was something we hadn't expected. As was the huge breakfast, with so much choice. Suffering from food intolerances means that I rarely eat well when away from home, but the dining room staff, without exception,... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
