Lovely staff both with initial phone correspondence and in person. They put up with my late check in (12:30am) without so much as a grumble. The rooms are delightful, especially the suite on the corner. Breakfast was cooked upon request and again fantastic. The pub downstairs had quality drinks and good pub food. A friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. Good... More

This pub with rooms is situated on Church Street Stoke Newington just opposite the park and town hall. It is often difficult to get rooms so early booking is essential. The 6 rooms have individual flair and the room we had was more than comfortable with its king size bed. The en-suite was spacious and had over bath shower. The... More

Stayed here with the bridal party, before heading over the road to the Wedding at the Town Hall. Both my husband and I had a delightful stay. The staff were all, bright, friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable and special - thank you so much to all the staff! The Bar Food was classic pub grub... More

Stayed here to attend a wedding in the park nearby. Great B&B above a pub and we were upgraded to a junior suite and the room was fantastic. However we found that it was on the 1st floor directly above the bar, and it was very noisy until the bar cleared I would use the R&C again but next time... More

Stayed as very convenient for a wedding at Stoke Newington Town Hall across the road. Good pub atmosphere for pre-nuptuals! Rooms accessible from a staff passage behind the bar and up two steep flights of stairs. When there, bedrooms had everything you wanted. Number One overlooked the front road junction but sleep not disturbed by traffic. Good walk in shower.... More

Thanks jola.rooms are finished to a high standard. Can be a bit noisy if you stay in suite, but we weren't disturbed.

This is a unique experience these days in London: a charming, offbeat respite from the bustling city, a delicious & plentiful breakfast to start your day, and a spotlessly clean and genuinely welcoming environment. Highest recommendation. (There is also a lively but friendly pub downstairs.)

This is a long overdue review, as we stayed there for five nights in October 2012, but the original review was not posted due to a technicality. What made this place so good? First, we were dropped off by a cab outside the door a bit before noon on a drizzling day, and found the door locked. Not an auspicious... More

Stayed here this weekend for my sisters wedding. The staff were nothing but friendly and helpful from start to finish, really making a point to get to know us all. The rooms were excellently designed clean and very comfy with all the necessities you need from a room. I stayed in the superior double, which was large and very nice.... More
