I stayed here for one night in November and cannot thank the hostess enough for making me feel so welcome. She cooked a great vegetarian breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. This is a place I would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to book again.

This is a pub with rooms above, described as a boutique hotel. However, the rooms are very well presented and the bathroom lovely but lacking ventilation. The staff are friendly and the breakfasts are excellent. This is in an good spot for the local shops/cafes and I would stay here again. It represents very good value for money. Surprisingly, although... More

We got married at Stoke Newington Town Hall and booked all the rooms at The Rose & Crown for our family. We had the suite which was beautiful and all the rooms are actually gorgeous. We had the run of the place and all had breakfast together in the morning (some family still in PJ's!). Food was excellent and staff... More

I stayed at the Rose and Crown in July. We got married in Stoke Newington Town Hall (directly opposite) on the Saturday and booked out all the rooms for family and friends on the Friday and Saturday nights. I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we made, I can't rate the pub, the guest house or... More

Lovely staff both with initial phone correspondence and in person. They put up with my late check in (12:30am) without so much as a grumble. The rooms are delightful, especially the suite on the corner. Breakfast was cooked upon request and again fantastic. The pub downstairs had quality drinks and good pub food. A friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. Good... More

This pub with rooms is situated on Church Street Stoke Newington just opposite the park and town hall. It is often difficult to get rooms so early booking is essential. The 6 rooms have individual flair and the room we had was more than comfortable with its king size bed. The en-suite was spacious and had over bath shower. The... More

Stayed here with the bridal party, before heading over the road to the Wedding at the Town Hall. Both my husband and I had a delightful stay. The staff were all, bright, friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable and special - thank you so much to all the staff! The Bar Food was classic pub grub... More

Stayed here to attend a wedding in the park nearby. Great B&B above a pub and we were upgraded to a junior suite and the room was fantastic. However we found that it was on the 1st floor directly above the bar, and it was very noisy until the bar cleared I would use the R&C again but next time... More

Stayed as very convenient for a wedding at Stoke Newington Town Hall across the road. Good pub atmosphere for pre-nuptuals! Rooms accessible from a staff passage behind the bar and up two steep flights of stairs. When there, bedrooms had everything you wanted. Number One overlooked the front road junction but sleep not disturbed by traffic. Good walk in shower.... More
