Hate chain hotels? Despise being in the heart of a mob of tourists? Then stay at the Rose and Crown. First, while only a short bus ride into the heart of London, this neighborhood has the feel of a small village populated by natives rather than tourists. There are delicious restaurants nearby and neighborhood pubs (including one at the Rose and... We stayed at the Rose and Crown for our wedding and it was amazing! We had the suite and the other rooms were taken by my close family. Everyone had a comfortable stay and loved the breakfast. Jola and her team make such an effort to make your stay a pleasant experience. A must for anyone getting married in Stoke... More

I picked the Rose and Crown because it was two doors down from my friend's place and the price was right. Central London hotels are incredibly expensive and you get very little for your money. This small six room guest house above a pub has been fully modernized and is quite comfortable. I slept like a baby after a long... More

We've stayed at the Rose and Crown numerous times and had wonderful experiences each time. The 6 boutique rooms are clean and unique, each with its own attraction. The bathrooms are thoroughly modern. The breakfasts are excellent. The pub downstairs is a friendly place and the meals are good. Stoke Newington is a diverse neighborhood with upscale restaurants, shops, and... More

I stayed in the deluxe room. Yes, as the last but one reviewer said, it didn't have a minibar and other 'deluxe' items - but the friendliness, care and consideration of the staff more than made up for the (to my mind) less important amenities you might find in in a less personal hotel. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, friendly but... More

Stayed in the deluxe room which is decorated nicely but lacks key amenities which would make it deluxe. There is no fridge / mini bar therefore only UHT milk and basic tea / instant coffee available. No telephone, no clock, no tissues, no dressing gowns, no flowers and no bathroom door which means no privacy - all can be heard.... More

Dear Scot, We would like to thank you for your feedback on our hotel. Firstly, we apologise if the cleanliness of the room was not up to standard. We have rigorous cleaning routines and checks and it is unusual that there are any problems with this. It is unfortunate that the facilities were not what you expected. We are a... More
