Stayed here for a weekend in February and found the hotel to be excellent. 2 minutes walk from trafalgar square and only 10 minutes to the palace. We arrived early but the receptionist checked us in straight away and we went up to the room. Nice size and comfortable bed. Would definately stay again

The great price for this hotel/ location was a big surprise! Spending 3 nights in London for boyfriends birthday and needed a hotel close to the tube so we could get everything done we wanted to. This hotel was perfectly located and staff super friendly. Really gorgeous building and big rooms with surprisingly good water pressure for London (not to... More

In the last 15 years I've been over 10 times in London both for business and pleasure. This is possibly the best hotel I've even been in. Comfortable, clean, silent and exceptionally located. Friendly staff and a spacious room (according to London standards).

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times in the past and found it to be consistently good. We like the central location for theatres and cinema and the ease of getting around using the Underground from either Charing Cross, Embankment and/or the River Bus from Embankment. The 'Sherlock Holmes' pub across the road serves decent food and... More

Due to a mix up with booking.com we arrived at the Grand and found we were not booked in! What a disaster. Luckily we were looked after by one of the most helpful and charming of people: Hugo. If you go The Grand you will find everyone is extremely helpful and the hotel everything you expect it to be.

Overnighters in London can be eye-watering when it comes to cost - but I found Club Quarters and received a very good rate. Bargain! The best part of it was that the room was comfortable, cosy and clean as was the bathroom. The staff were friendly and very helpful and made me feel most welcome. I did not have the... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
