We had a great stay last year. Went for our honeymoon and 20 Hertford Street was amazingly located. Shepherd Market was a two minute walk and full of life in the evenings. Green Park tube station was a five minute walk and 15 minute walk to Oxford Street and the bus ride back would drop you right outside the apartment.... More

This is very close to everything and is very stylish and comfortable. We had the basement flat which although was a bit dark during the day was easy to access with just one flight of stairs - this meant not having to wait for a lift. The underfloor heating was amazing and the privacy and quietness was appreciated - even... More

Hot off the press... I booked this place April 22nd this year based on a website called 'Refresh Accommodation'. After travelling for 5 weeks thru Europe and having been to London fairly often my wife and i were after a central,self-contained Apartment to relax, cook our own meals and see more of London. Described as "luxury self-contained accommodation" on the... More

We stayed at 17 Hertford Street last year. The actual hall way, flats are very different from the glamours pictures showed on the website, so it was a bit of disappointment when we first entered into the building. We stayed in a studio room first, it was tiny, very difficult to move around for 2 people. Then we moved into... More

It is a small hotel without 24h reception. But they have 24h reception in nearby building (another apartment hotel from the same owner). Room is clean, furniture is not new but not bad. Hotel is situated on the quite street. London transport system is great. Maybe you will prefer hotel closer to subway. But there is no problem to get... More

Having checked in at mayfair house we were escorted to the property by a gentleman who showed us how to access via 3 locked doors but did little else to help us get acclimatised. Our initial reaction was that it was a good size with nice high ceilings with good and clean kitchen and bathroom. The location is fantastic- just... More

We stayed at 17 Hertford Street last year and found the apartment good and the location excellent, so when we returned to London this year we booked a 1 bedroom apartment at 20 Hertford Street (both properties are managed by the same central booking company, Maykenbel). This time we had a really terrible experience. The apartment itself was quite spacious,... More

My husband and I stayed in the studio apartment at 17 Hertford Street for 3 nights - it was fantastic! Absolutely loved the location - many great restaurants, cafes, shops within a block or two. Easy walk to Underground Station or straight down Piccadilly into the center of town - we like to walk, so was even convenient to West... More

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with our toddler and really enjoyed our stay. The reception area at 20 Hertford Street is beautiful, and the apartment was modern and comfortable. The kitchen is really well equipped, and the whole space is clean and light. We were on the top floor, and the lift is very old, small & sometimes... More

Where should I begin? There was a hole in the wall stuffed with tissue; a crack along another wall. TV did not work. Not at all like the picture on their website. TIny tiny bathroom, and studio room small as well. It was bad enough that I preferred to pay a night's penalty and move elsewhere . Staff unprofessional in... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
