Actually it's located in a good place since not far from the Hyde Park and very close to the biggest tube & train transfer hub - Paddington. If you've come from Luton airport be aware of getting off the bus in Marble Arch and taking either a taxi directly to the hotel or the underground to Lancaster Gate (the same... More

I stayed in Ascot Hyde Park hotel in 2011, there was renovation on my floor, very noisy. The door doesn't close well, it is very hard to open the door using my key. The manager speaks poor English, not helpful at all.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel and experienced several problems. First of all we booked a double room to be given a triple room, second and by far the worst experience is being woken up at 8 in the morning to a loud banging noise that lasted constantly for 2 hours. We tried to sleep but due to... More

Although the room and bathroom was kept clean and the beds were ok the rest of the hotel was in dire need of updating. The "dining room" was in the basement and looked like a back packers kitchen. Needless to say we will not be going back!

If your aim for your stay is to make a wig, then this is the place for you. I couldn't count the amount of hairs we found on inspection of our room. In the bed, pillows, floor, toilet seat, TOILET PAPER?! shower...even when they cleaned our room each day there were still hairs everywhere. I took the bath mat towel... More

This place is cheap, clean, centrally located and just 3 mins walk from tube. But, cold room with luke warm water for shower and sink. There were tea and coffee making facilities but no spoons!!. Also no bin in room for rubbish. Bed sheets were clean, but the bed throws were dirty. I heard noise from the lift which disturbed... More

I am in this hostel while writing this review, as the hostel is directly above the underground and if you are unfortunate to be given a room on the first floor you will feel and hear every train that passes through. The reception staff upon our arrival looked as though they wanted to be elsewhere, so not very inviting. The... More

Our room was very spacious for London, the bathroom was new and clean. The bed was comfortable and location is very good, very close to underground stations. Breakfast was not so good, but there were several restaurants in the area. Overall was a good stay.

I stayed here for one night, it's very close to paddington station, for the price I paid I was fine with it. It was very clean - maybe a bit too clean as the room did smell of bleach. The room was small and had a very small bathroom however it was newly refurbished and in perfect working condition. The... More
