I stayed at Hotel 43 on Queensborough Terrace in Bayswater for three nights, and was impressed enough given the price & location, and ease of travel around London. Queensborough Terrace has a gammut of hotels, maybe a dozen or so in the space of 150m. I picked Hotel 43 as the listing claimed that it as fully refurbished, and as... More

This is not a hotel, it is a hostel. The pictures on the website are nothing like the rooms in the real world. Furthermore the staff was rude. We had booked two rooms next to each other, because we were traveling as a family, but we were given rooms in two different buildings. The rooms were so bad, that we... More

This was the second time staying at Hotel 43. Both times it was very clean and the breakfast is good (toast, croissants, eggs, ham, cereal, cheese, etc). The staff are friendly and the location is great. The only reason I would not give this hotel a full rating is because of the lift. It was out of service for 2... More

Upon arrival we found an extremely small twin room with ensuing bathroom. Yet this was to be expected considering the budget price of the hotel. The girl on the reception desk was quite dull and unhelpful and she didn't speak very good English. At night time we had trouble sleeping due to a constant buzzing mechanical noise and after two... Good: location for tube/hyde park/ shops/food, room size, heating, window size, block out blinds, wifi, comfortable bed Bad: dirty bed, dirty linen, dirty furniture, unfinished kitchenette (no tiles), toiletries not refilled, no phone from suite to reception, unfriendly reception staff, bad coffee and breakfast, construction material in hallways, building noise travels through walls and ceilings, fridge didn't open properly, microwave... Booked a triple room for a city trip. The room was a single with a double bed and a single bed squeezed in with only 4 inches of space around the beds. The linen was dusty, the rooms were noisy - you could hear the guests in the other rooms on the toilet. The air conditioner was not working. The... More

Stayed at this hotel last year; very good location in Bayswater and less than 5 minutes to the nearest Undergound station so it was very convenient for sightseeing in London. It's quite a small hotel and a little inconspicuous when trying to find it as there are many hotels and aparthotels on the same street- we arrived a little early... More

Stayed three nights at this hotel, and chose it mainly because of the location (close to Notting Hill, as well as Queenswater and Bayswater tube-stations). The room was at the top floor (fifth) with a view of the backyard. The bed was a bit hard, and only one pillow per person, and only one bed cover to share. There was... More

I chose Hotel 43 as it was close to the Notting Hill Carnival in order to be in London the night before. I was looking for something basic but will good features. The Hotel 43 covered all our needs adequately. My target price was £100 and I came close. They charge 2% extra for credit cards on check-in. The hotel... More

Prior to booking I saw mixed reviews on this hotel... either "great" or "awful." I found it to be a good value, clean, budget hotel. I was traveling alone and spent two days in London before and after joining up with my tour group in Exeter. I have been to London several times and know how expensive it can be.... More
