Stayed here in early Jan for work (booked in December) and loved it. Really well located for London Bridge and close to Bermondsey Street which has lots of lovely restaurants. Friendly staff. Rooms big, clean and well appointed. One of the quietest nights I've had in central London too. Opened my curtains in the morning to an antiques market which... More

We booked the Lucy suite to have the HotTub for the night however were disappointed to find it at lukewarm temperature - 35 degrees C. We refused to stay the night and were offered by the manager to stay another night. Taking up the offer (so long as the HotTub was above 38 degrees C) we returned to the hotel... More

I took my Mum for a special birthday weekend to London and we stayed in The Bermondsey Square Hotel. Initially, I was a bit apprehensive as it seemed a fair walk from London Bridge tube station. But when we checked in, we received a lovely warm welcome. The room was clean and modern. The first morning, we went down for... More

One of the few good value hotels within striking distance of the City, and after a day of meetings a stroll past the lively bars of Bermondsey Street is quite a nice way to wind down. Friendly, helpful staff, and comfortable rooms. If you use a Mac for work there is some sort of trick needed to connect to the... More

Quick internet (I was getting 65mbps down), friendly and courteous staff, lovely breakfast (didn't miss the pork one bit), chicken sausages and turkey bacon were all fantastic. Slightly disorganised in the restaurant but everyone working very hard. Rooms small but clean and comfortable, asked and received for a room with a view of the Shard. Amazing. Great location, 10 minute... More

Hotel was very nice. Great location. Lots of buses pass right outside making it very easy to get around. Staff were friendly. Lots of cool bars and restaurants very close by. Hotel was very nice. A group of us stayed a night here as the location and price were right. It's a friendly hotel, but more akin to budget than boutique. The room was good, clean and reasonably sized. The bed was comfortable, though as a single occupant of a double, it was two beds joined, so possibly too big, There were a couple of... More

Stayed here a few times whilst travelling to London for conferences, last visit i came with my family and tried the triple room..unfortunately we were given a disabled access room which had awkward proportions and a sink in the bathroom that was so shallow that upon using the tap it unfortunately flooded the bathroom floor if you weren't careful. The... More

I stayed at the hotel for two nights, while working in London. The hotel was clean and modern, perfect for what I needed. I found the food to be very good and the staff were all very welcoming. Overall highly recommended and I will be using the hotel again.

We found this hotel ideally placed for visiting the Shard, Tower of London, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge and other attractions along the Thames, London Bridge tube being about 10-15 mins away. The room was unusually laid out, making best of the space - would be ideal for business travel as the desk was massive and well lit. Monsoon shower was... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
