Very pleased with everything - the booking in and out was seamless, our upgraded room (which was quiet) was cool and the tasty breakfast more than adequate (the only downside was that the service at breakfast was rather frantic - but they were busy!)

Am a seasoned hotel traveller through work etc. Stayed here over a weekend with family and friends which included 3 young children. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms unique in their layout but comfortable and clean. Hotel lobby interesting and quirky, especially the 'library' corner. There aren't too many restaurants close by that feel child friendly so... More

Lovely hotel in a great trendy location. Restaurant serves great food only downside is no wine with dinner? Dry hotel which in my opinion ruins it. Stay here, great location... some fab restaurants and bars minutes walk away.

Very nice hotel, modern amenities and helpful staff. Situated in a great area, next to Bermondsey street with good restaurants and bars. Within walking distance to the London Bridge tube station, so getting to central London is easy. The restaurant has a limited menu, but all dishes we tried were excellent. Excellent desserts as well! Very good value for your... More

This is not a traditional hotel. It does have all the usual amenities for at nice hotel. However, in addition you will experience a small family driven hotel. Don’t know if it is, however, you get the feeling of personalized service by the staff that gets to know you. Rooms are nice, clean, well equipped and not with a traditional... More

Relaxed, very friendly staff. Rooms super quiet. Beds comfy. Shower amazing. Breakfast cooked to order with fresh and high quality ingredients. This will be our default hotel for London stopovers. Ignore other reviews about lack of bar. There are ample places to drink and eat immediately around the hotel.

My husband and I recently stayed on a weekend getaway and it was just that. The location of the Bermondsey hotel is close to the Tower Bridge and about 10 minutes walk away from the London Bridge Underground. The area is super cute with plenty of local restaurants and pubs to enjoy day or night. As for the hotel, it... More

Dear TravellingJosieD Thank you very much for taking the time to review our hotel, I am delighted you enjoyed your stay. With the building works around London Bridge, the journey by foot has become slightly more complicated but I am sure you'll agree that it is a lovely neighbourhood once you've made the 15 minute walk from the station. Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
