Really enjoyed our 5 days at Bermondsey Square. We arrived on an early flight from Canada and were able to check in upon arrival. The young women at the front desk were very friendly and helpful and the room was spotless with a very comfortable bed, quality linens and a large modern bathroom with extra large, thick towels and quality... I'm writing this review in the hope that the hotel owner reads it and changes their policy. Lovely hotel, great staff and we stayed in the Lucy suite which has a private jacuzzi on the balcony of the top floor. I was pre warned that the hotel no longer serves alcohol which in itself wasn't a problem as there are... More

We stayed just one night here but really enjoyed the stay.. It's such an easy walk from here to tower bridge & the Tower, the Shard , not to be missed Borough Market and in the lovely Bermondsey 'village' area with so many interesting little shops, nice bars and places to eat. We found the room very comfortable, loved the... More

Arrived today for partner's birthday weekend. Pretty standard hotel, nice room, nice staff, food looks interesting. Just not the quirky boutique hotel I was expecting. What happened to the silly, cool things I read about in old reviews, like the ability to order a pillowfight or sex toys through roomservice? I guess that's what happens when you read old articles.

I stayed here for four nights and this hotel will now be my go-to hotel when I need to stay in London. It was clean, friendly and very good value for money. Although not in the centre of town, every thing is easily accessible, and there are plenty of excellent restaurants very close by. The bed was comfortable, and the... More

We stayed at the Bermondsey Square Hotel for three nights. Great location. Not far from London bridge tube station. Great check in. We have arrived early but were able to get a room at once. We did not try breakfast. We had a very pleasant stay.

Very comfatable beds, modern rooms and perfect views out over London. Although not the best location if west end nightlife is on the cards as taxis are fairly steep both ways and it's a good walk from the tube

My wife and I stayed for three night's over Easter 2015,we had a very enjoyable stay. The room was excellent, bed very comfortable, views where stunning, and the shower was something else. The food over all was excellent, although they did not serve Pork or Alcohol it in no way spoiled our stay. The quality and choice was superb. Finally... More

But if you are veg or doesn't eat meat the breakfast may not be that great. Always make sure to take your power adapter if you want charge your phone etc as the hotel has only square... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
