The friendliest, most accommodating hotel I've ever stayed at. If you have to spend time in Hackney, this is the place. What a pleasure.

We stayed here for one night mid-week in May. The hotel seems newly fitted and we were pleasantly surprised with the room. It is small but has everything you need as well as HD TV. A welcome drink on arrival was a nice touch. There were some problems though.. the room was incredibly warm and we couldn't cool it down...

Dear Sirs,
We are of course always grateful for customer feedback. We will look into the issue relating to the temperature of the room however being a small inn built in 1890 does unfortunately have its issues, one of which is the properties structure. Dating back to 1890 and with much attached history does have its planning issues which most...

I was asked to write a review about my experiences of staying at The old ship inn.
I should explain to begin with that I have the wonderful honour of staying in around 10 to 11 different hotels on a monthly basis in my line of work.

In London for training with 4 of my colleagues. We had a mixture of rooms types - singles and doubles. After reading the Hotels good reviews on a number of booking sites, our Company decided to book with them direct. Upon arrival we were greeted with a free drink then shown to our rooms. All the rooms were immaculately clean...

Stayed for 2 nights on business trip, room was very well appointed, very clean and had some really unexpected nice touches ie beautiful toiletries, fluffy towels and comfy bed. Friendly staff and great food.
I spent some time there last month because of business & wished I had not!!
very cramped rooms, getting to them needed a head for hights up a narrow winding satircase, personally, I dont think this is suitable for a disabled or elderly person, the tv was another matter in trying to get the stations.
