Clean room with a quirky vibe, bed, sheets, towels all comfy+++ Turn down service. Lovely bathroom, lots of hot water and good water pressure. Free wifi, all amenities you could need, except agree a coffeemaker or kettle in the room, would be useful. In room hairstyling available. Location is absolutely amazing and unbeatable; 5 min to oxford circus or piccadily... More

I had high hopes from staying here as the website sounded and looked great plus a friend had said that it was a very quirky hotel with character. The check area is very small but the lady was pleasant enough although she did have a chat with another member of staff in French whilst we were trying to check in.... More

What a great place to stay! A classy boutique hotel close to Piccadilly Circus, with a cool party lounge on the roof; stylish bedrooms and comfy beds; good food and friendly people looking after you. We'll be back - if only to collect the iPad charger we left plugged into the wall in room 204!

Stayed at the Sanctum Hotel overnight after a party, I usually come to the hotel every year for the rooftop bar during Summer which has a brilliant atmosphere and it's easy to meet people. This time my friends and I splurged to stay the night, but rooms here certainly don't come at a budget! The lesser expensive rooms, known as... More

Upon arrival 3 staff manned the tiny reception and all carried on talking to one person in the reception and didn't even acknowledge our existence for quite a few minutes. Not good on manners. We went to our Junior Suite on the fifth floor. Our door was opposite the door to the rooftop terrace which didn't look too good for... More

We just stayed @ soho sanctum hotel, we got 2 rooms one of which was literally smaller than a closet, the famous crash pad unite is very small and uncomfortable, the bathroom is all one space, you have the WC, Sink and shower are all in one undivided space, all gets wet, all is in use at one time. Service... More

Dear Customer, Thank you for reviewing the Sanctum Soho, our crash pad rooms are rooms meant for just that : crashing! They are designed for those who are caught out and need somewhere to crash for the night. This is why the size of the room is on the small side and we thought the wet room style fit in... More

I stayed for one weeknight in a Junior Suite with my partner. The hotel looks like it's designed by Alexander McQueen / Damien Hirst, and there are signed band photos littering the walls. Rooftop bar with Jacuzzi is a must - and the location is slap bang centre (near Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, etc). I've heard some of... More

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting London. The hotel is extremely clean and staff are very friendly. The rooms could use more natural light or more overhead lights installed, however I think the vibe if the hotel is nice and dark. A great location in Soho, close to Picaddely tube line.

Hi Michael, Thanks for the positive review! We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your time here with us. We are certainly looking into creating more light in the bedrooms, as some are darker than others. Unfortunately obtaining more natural light in the rooms is not possible at this time due to the situation of the building and planning rights. We... More

Came down to watch Chaka Khan at Ronnie Scotts (you should have been there !!) and stayed at the Sanctum. Love this hotel. Great location, well appointed rooms, super comfy bed, cool but not too out there music vibe (you wont feel out of place if you're not a music type). The bar is a great place to start or... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
