The location, a short walk from South Kensington tube station, is great. Gourmet Burger, with their delicious burgers, is right across from the hotel. My room was tiny. The decor is nice, the wifi decent, andthe staff friendly. Except that on three occasions during my four-day stay the cleaning staff barged into my room with little more than a perfunctory... More

I chose this hotel after looking at tons of others because of its good reviews, stylish decoration (open fires in lounges!!), great location and a good deal from hotels.com (or maybe booking.com?). Everything was perfect. Even though I stayed in their cheapest room it was lovely, quiet and comfortable. The decoration throughout, and particularly in the public areas is really... More

The kensington hotel is exactly what it looks like in pictures even more fabulous in real life...Modern with a vintage twist, very spacious and with a large and luxurious lobby. We enjoyed breakfast which provides a large round table. The rooms felt as if we were in a palace with central ac and the fluffiest comforters and pillows all on... More

South kensington is a lovely and quiet precint with tons to do if you enjoy the outdoors. George was an exceptional waiter, he made sure I had everything I needed, was very attentive and served me with a delicious breakfast both mornings I was there. . The kensington hotel is in a very private area and the hotel was amazing.... More

This Townhouse style hotel was an absolute delight and no nasty surprises which meant no stress for us. The location was perfect - on a bus route that took us to our concert site near hyde Park. Great views of the city and downtown area on top of the london eye .South Kensington is rich with every kind of ethnic... More

The hotel is absolutely amazing, wish we had more time to appreciate it's beauty . The neighbourhood was very nice and we had no problems getting around with the taxi driver. Everything was accessible easily. Special mentions to George and other staff who made this trip a pleasurable experience.

A very nice hotel in an excellent location. The lounges are very nice, and even if the hotel is quite big, it gives a boutique hotel feel. The Continental breakfast is among the best we have ever seen, so for once no real reason to order the full English. When visiting in April it was very good price as well,... More

I really enjoyed the Kensington. I chose it for the location- quiet neighborhood yet close to the tube so I could be almost anywhere in 10 minutes. The staff was really great and helpful, my room was very comfortable and a good size, and I loved having tea is the lobby area. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed at The Kensington for just 1 night on the Family Easter package which included an extra bed in the room, gifts for our daughter and a la carte breakfast which worked out to be good value. The hotel is located very near to both the tube station and museums and a good base to explore London. We found all... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
