Had a fabulous 2 night stay, room perfect, breakfast delicious, staff excellent, Especially Agnes. It has a perfect location, the business room had everything. Used the pool, steam room and sauna which were immaculate.

We stayed at the hotel on a recent visit to the Albert Hall. It is perfectly located for all the facilities in Kensington and Knightsbridge. We had a lovely first floor room overlooking the street, but very quiet at the same time. Staff were all very friendly and obliging.Weould definitely stay there again.

Stayed Friday to Monday for long weekend in March 2015. Booked family room. It had 2 double beds, a seating area (2 armchairs and table), drawing table with mirror, plus bathroom with bath and over-bath shower. There was ample wardrobe space, including a safe, iron, ironing board, trouser press and cotton dressing gowns. Under the tv unit there was a... More

My wife and I stayed at The Kensington Hotel while visiting our daughter, who is studying abroad for the semester. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room (a King Deluxe), though a bit small by U.S. standards, was immaculate, very comfortable and well appointed. The hotel is located in the heart of South Kensington and is walking distance... We stayed at the Kensington just last week, with a son and daughter in law and their two young girls. When my husband and I arrived in the early am, the desk clerk offered us a room "to rest" because our own wasn't yet ready. How nice was that! I can't say enough good things about this lovely place. The... More

We all know hotels are costly beyond reason in London .... this one is no different. I was wondering if the rooms actually were "legal " in size. Is there a minimum size a room or bathroom need to be to sell at the price they charge ?. There is no space for anything , no place for a suitcase... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
