To be brief, The Kensington Hotel is amazing!! I have never felt so at home before and I grew up in “The South” y’all, where hospitality and graciousness is a way of life. Our entire experience from the moment we set foot in the door was was excellent and we love the neighborhood. I highly recommend anyone visiting London to... More

Stayed in this delightful and charming hotel for a couple of nights, whilst on a visit to london to see other friends. The whole experience was great from start to end. Reception was well decorated with red velvet feel and there were free apples for anyone staying inside the hotel and while I was there the staff were pleasant and... More

The Kensington Hotel is elegant yet homely and unlike other luxury hotels in London remains small enough to provide a personalised service. Initially booked a standard room which was quite small but what you would expect from a central London hotel. Upgraded to a deluxe room which was spacious, tastefully presented with a roomy modern bathroom. As a single traveller,... More

We stayed at this Hotel after researching online and read tripadvisor reviews and we were totally delighted with our decision to book. The ambience and interior design is understated & classy. The colour tones induce relaxation and a total sense of feeling welcome. The rooms are a good size with modern baths and amenities. The staff are well informed and... More

Considered that we are in London (so very expensive prices for very small rooms) everything was perfect! Personnel very kind, room very clean and very well equipped, fitness room well equipped too! Location was not ideal for me, but it's Kensington!

The Kensington Hotel is a charming and beautiful hotel in heart of South Kensington, a 2 minute stroll from the Underground station. We arrived after 24 hours of travel to find we had been upgraded to two connected rooms (original booking was Family room) which was fantastic given we had two teenage children. Also our room was ready on arrival... More

I had stayed at this hotel a few years ago, but was pleasantly surprised by how much it had changed for the better. Friendly staff, quality furnishings and sophisticated decor. Comfy beds, great location, great food in the restaurant, I could go on and on.... Highly recommended!

An elegant hotel in a wonderful neighbourhood. The museums are just 10 minutes away and the underground is easily accessible. The entire hotel is a typical town house with artefacts and fire places in the restaurant. The staff were very welcoming, and efficient . The rooms were comfortable and overall we had a great stay. We will be back in... More

We stayed at the kensington hotel for three nights in January. The hotel is exactly as the photographs, it's bright, spacious and impeccably clean. The beds are comfortable and the sheets new, clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, close to transport links and there are some grocery shops just a few minutes walk away. The late night... More

Two nights stay with husband and 2 years old kids booked a superior room. Cot option was ticked at website reservation plus I called the hotel to reconfirm the cot, but it was not in the reservation at check-in time; however it had been set up very quickly after checking in. Room 116 was a disaster. the room is not... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
