Recently we took a group of 16 year old students to London for an educational visit. We chose this hostel since it seemed to be good value for money. However our experience in the three night we spent there left much to be desired. From day one we were never given the correct or full instructions of what to do... More

In general, the place was ok and clean, but it was the first time I experienced a no-bathroom in the room. I think I would have appreciate more if I have had better roomates but I guess I was unlucky! The worst was the customer service. They were very bad; never smiling and gave the minimun info. I appreciated the... More

Brilliantly central location, 5 mins walking distance to British Museum and 15 mins to Picadilly and West End. Staff were very warm and friendly. Large common area where a very good breakfast is served. Room was clean and comfortable. Will happily return. Thanks.

Located 1 tube station away from King'sCross-Saint Pancras, at a decent walking distance from Covent Gardent and literally 5 minutes away from the British museum, it's also impossible to lose yourself if you want to go from the hostel to Piccadilly/ Regent street/ Tottenham Court Road, even with NO city map. The staff is really friendly and helpful. There's no... More

Reception staff were not hospitable, we were served by who I assumed to be the manager, a lady in her mid-40s. Free breakfast was bare minimum - toast, cereal. Room was small with no storage space - no coat hangers, shelving. Doona was stained and they provided cups and spoons but no tea/coffee, making it pointless. Room was otherwise clean.... More

Decent location, close to a Tesco supermarket, various cafés and the tube station. Price is quite cheap for London too, but don't expect too much. The facilities (especially showers) need improvement. The rooms are very crowded and air is stuffy with limited windows provided. There is not a lot of space to store your luggage. Moreover, the staff was not... More

It's a lot cheaper than most In London, meaning u make ur own bed. Easy to get to & a 30 second walk from the tube. Staff were difficult to engage with, but we're good with me checking out late. Keycard room entry and for locker. I couldn't believe I had to pay £1.50 per day for the locker! Plus,... More

Thank you for your review. Regarding the lockers we try to offer cheap accommodation for low budget travelers at a very good location, the prices we offer do not include locker charges as most of our guests do not need to use them, therefore they do not end up paying for things the do not need. We are now upgrading... More

Staff is incompetent and unclear of London itself; She does not even know what is Chinatown. Hostel was advertised with having towels and secure lockers provided however towel costs 2 and lockers in the room itself costs 1.50/ night. Just checked in but we really want to leave right now.

The location is great, just a 5 minute walk to Russell Square Underground. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and spacious. The staff was very kind and helpful. The negative is the room was smelly.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
