We recently stayed at the Travelodge near Tower Bridge, The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us we were going to a concert at the O2 arena, The DLR is just at the rear of the hotel. which made getting to the arena very easy. the hotel was very quiet when we retuned we never... Stayed for two nights, comfortable room, excellent bed, good shower room, ok it's good a bit of outside noise as per other reviews, however it's slap bang in the centre of London, 5 mins walk from tower hill tube, Tower of London etc, staff were really good and the room was really clean, restored my confidence in travel lodges

Less than 10 minute walk to Tower Hill tube station and on the doorstep of the Tower of London if you want to visit this fantastic bit of England's history. Rooms very clean and very comfortable, my only gripe and considering I stopped in July it's a huge one is the room was boiling hot. A fan with no air... More

I've used the Travelodge London Tower Bridge many times both for business and pleasure. It's in a really great spot just a short walk from Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge tube station and Tower Gateway DLR station. The facilities are very good with the standard basic but adequate rooms and a nice restaurant/bar (the evening... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here this weekend and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is located less than 5 minutes walk from Tower Hill tube station which is available on both the circle and district line. Our room was clean and comfortable, however there were a couple of things which could have been better. In a standard travel lodge, shampoo/body... More

Our hotel was close to the metro, the staff was very good, helpful and friendly. Jay, the main staff that we interacted with very helpful with suggestions, and really took care of us. Only thing I would suggest is ask for a room on the other side of the train tracks as they are loud and no air conditioning so... More

This hotel has been refurbed and is all clean and fresh, staff are friendly, beds are comfy. Perfect location, pub next door but we didn't go to this as wetherspoons was over the road, we had some meals and drinks here, was lovely and food always hot. Tesco express over road from wetherspoons, 5 min walk from London tower and... More

We stayed here for three nights and found the hotel very conveniently positioned for all the area of London we wanted to see. The tube station just around the corner but would recommend the bus to the west end and Covent garden just under the bridge round the corner.you see more in the bus and its a bit like a... More

We stayed for a night on my Hen weekend and found the staff to be extremely helpful. There were a large number of us and they went out of the way to ensure we all had rooms together. The rooms were all newly refurbished, extremely comfortable and clean. As we booked a long way in advance the price was very... More

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighborhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
