This hotel is plain but has all you want, next to Tower of London and Tower Bridge and 2 minute walk to Tower Hill underground, breakfast was great so a thumbs up, first time I've been to London and wasn't disappointed, plenty to do, look out for the wether spoons which isn't far from the hotel as its food is... This was the second time I had stayed here with my 13 year old daughter. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable and breakfast sets you up for the day. Would definitely stay here again. One tip is try and get a room overlooking the street, the traffic noise is less than the train noise of the DLR.

I cannot praise this hotel enough, it was our first stay here and will now use this hotel as our preferred choice when staying in London. The reception staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble, my daughter who stayed with me is 7 months pregnant and needed more pillows these were brought to our room with extra towels immediately.... I stayed for 4 nights with my 10 Yr old son. The staff were friendly and helpful, service was efficient and prompt. The room was clean and comfortable. Perfect for central London... Relaxed but busy few days, will definitely use this next time I visit London.

We stayed here 28th August for a weekend break, check in was really smooth. We paid for an early check in for ten pounds. We were in room 405 which is at the front of the building, a good size room and very clean although there is some traffic street noise. Breakfast was fine and all the staff were excellent,... More

awesome place if you want easy access to the centre of London.... Tower bridge is on the door step and its and amazing sight at night. Quick trip on the tube to get anywhere you want. Nice rooms but a bit warm as no air con.

Very clean and good value. Very close to the Thames embankment if you like walking and to the Tube and DLR stations. The Weatherspoon pub nearby offers a generous breakfast. Rear (even numbered?) rooms can be a bit noisy due to the proximity of the railways or hot if you shut the window but they do provide fans.

I've been to travelodges before and was less than impressed by the standard, until I went to this hotel. The staff were amazing, the food was lovely and the rooms were very clean. It was a breath of fresh air as soon as I walked in the door. My partner and I had a fantastic stay. The only thing I... More

Literally 2 minutes walk from tower of london and Tower Hill tube station. Rooms are small but 2 nights for £120 on a fri and sat night can't be sniffed out. Recommend the early check in as if you are only visiting the capital for a couple of days then the 3 hours you gain are invaluable , just saves... More

I booked this room many months in advance which brought the price down considerably. The hotel is easy to find. Less than 300 metres from Tower Hill tube station. I arrived over half an hour early but was still checked in speedily and allowed to go to my room. I was on the third floor and next to the railway... More

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighborhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
