Stayed here with my 7 year old daughter for one night. It's in a great spot with easy Tube access and walking distance from Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. We were on the 1st floor on the street side and slept so well, without the least bit of disturbance from traffic or trains. Staff were welcoming, efficient and... More

We have stayed here before and love the loction. Despite being next to Tower Gateway it really isn't that noisy. When we arrived the receptionist kindly changed our room as I'm recovering from a double leg injury and was in quite a lot of pain. Clean and tidy as most Travelodges but there was a funny smell. We assumed it... More

Travelodge a seemed to go downhill for a while but this one suggests they are back on track: clean, new fittings, good breakfast, very reasonable value foroney given the good location near Tower of London

This Travelodge is nicely situated for the more easterly locations in the City and is only 5 minutes walk from Tower Hill tube station, Tower Gateway DLR and Fenchurch Street station for overground rail. The rooms are basic and quite small but clean and have everything you need for a short stay. I'm not sure I would have been comfortable... More

Disgusted with this Hotel, Staff are polite and helpful but the issues reported do not get resolved. Heating did not work the whole week of stating there and reported twice to the staff. Was offered a alternative room before departing the next morning. Caught a cold because the cold conditions.

I stayed at this Travelodge as part of a long weekend in London, having stayed at the London Stratford Travelodge the first night and at Tower Bridge Central the second night. The location of the Tower Bridge one is excellent as it literally sits behind Tower Gateway DLR station, however be advised that Fenchurch Street main line station is next... More

Hotel has great location. Hotel looks very new outside and inside. The hotel is very close to train tracks and a very busy road but I didn't hear any outside noise in my room at all which was amazing and surprising. The communal areas were all extremely clean and well kept, free from any damage. The room was very spacious and... More

The Travelodge at London Tower Bridge was great value for money. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights and found the stay very nice. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. We booked Travelodge London Tower Bridge as we wanted a hotel fairly central and close to attractions. The hotel is around 6 - 7 mins walk from Tower Hill tube station and the same to the Tower of London, so ideal for both. The hotel is close to the railway line but we had a room facing to the front... More

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighborhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
