This place is definitely not the Ritz, but for all its faults I wouldn't hesitate to go there again. The rooms are small, and have a shabby feel. Shelves lean off the walls at interesting angles. The hot tap ran cold, the cold tap ran hot. Decor was 1970s. The two chairs squashed into the room were ancient. However, it... More

If you like personal warm and quirky, you will find an owner who really cares and does his best to look after you. The location is unbeatable. This part of London is full of old properties like this and it adds to the authenticity of your stay.

This hotel has an excellent location, especially for visitors of University of London. Earplugs are necessary for a decent sleep because there's a lot of noise coming in from the main street. Some showers switch themselves off after a few minutes. However, it's fairly clean, the landlords are.nice and helpful and its relatively cheap for London. I generally recommend it.

Brilliant central location just five minutes walk from Euston Station. The hosts let us check in a bit early on our first day and leave our luggage with them for the afternoon after we had handed back our key on the second day. Basic breakfast but they made sure we left feeling full! Thin walls to neighbouring room so might... More

Stayed in this hotel with 3 friends. The beds are small, the shower had low pressure and the breakfast was minimal. Just cornflakes with cold Milk, toast, jam, peanutbutter and Nutella. No eggs, cheese, ham or something Like that. But, the way to citycenter (with the tube from Euston or Kings Cross) from the hotel is alright! Friendly staff!!

There is nothing outstanding about this hotel but the staff were friendly, the rooms were comfortable and it is a well-located place. 2 friends and I stayed in a 3 single bed room and found it was satisfactory for everything we needed. You have a shared bathroom down the stairs and can eat a basic breakfast (cornflakes + toast) in... More

Excellent the owner of the hotel very friendly, very attentive, rooms quite small but adequate for what you need them for, will stay there again. My daughter and I plus my 4 year old grandson stayed here, we were very pleased with the hotel.

We stayed here after watching the lion king. Just wanted a place to crash without spending a fortune. Settled on the Albany. It is an ok hotel but it has very small rooms. Difficult to move around if there is two of you. Feel very cramped the whole time. Shower didn't work in one of the shared bathrooms meaning waiting... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
