Waited 40 minutes for our starters - scallops were fantastic the Ballantine quite bland. Main courses were nothing to write home about, OK, but are not worth the price tag. Overall experience was OK but very expensive compared with other much nicer restaurants and VERY slow service.

Stayed overnight and ate in the restaurant, staff very pleasant and helpful, room very comfortable, food was well lovely and the service excellent. Would certainly return either on business or as a couple. A really nice place. Only 10 minutes from a Euston station and close to Regents Park.

This is a lovely restaurant in Camden and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, our extremely helpful, energetic and chatty waiter had such a strong foreign accent that -much as we loved him - neither I (foreign) nor my lunch partner (very British) could understand a lot of what he said. With 50% of his chatter going over... More

I arrived late from work and left early, so didn't eat in the 'gastropub'. I was showed my bijoux but lovely room with an open window for fresh air (unusual) and a good bathroom. The man at the front desk was super helpful. I had a speedy Waldorf salad in my room which was delicious, complimentary fizzy and still water... More

Stayed here as part of red letter day. Room very traditional and nice however the Windows single pane and can hear all the traffic through the day and night. Evening meal was included and could select off a very limited menu. Food was nice but if you wanted a larger selection you had to pay a significant contribution so opted... More

This restaurant came highly recommended so I decided to try it for Sunday lunch. I ordered the Roast Beef lunch and was told that it came with all the trimmings - vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes and lots of gravy. What I received was far from satisfactory and quite meagre in portion sizes. And for this privilege, I paid c... More

We stayed here for my husbands birthday and booked the Suite . The room was large and bed was comfy but we both felt the room lacked the luxury you expect when paying these rates and didn't feel like it was anything really special . Shower was also disappointing . I wouldn't say there was anything wrong with our stay... More

My husband and I stayed at The York and Albany with a red letter stay. On arrival we were warmly greeted and shown to our room "The Primrose Room". The room had a four poster bed and had a Victorian feel, there was fruit (apples) and two bottles of water (still & sparkling). You walked down some stairs to the... More

My friends and I had dinner and drinks at the York & Albany yesterday evening to celebrate a friends birthday. This was my first visit and I was very impressed by the service we received. The cocktails we drank by the bar whilst waiting for our table were delicious and the staff were very knowledgable, suggesting different cocktails dependent on... More

Myself & my husband received our stay as a Christmas gift by my father in law, he brought the gift from Red letter day. Don't get me wrong the hotel is lovely and the room we stayed in was really nice and the bed was so comfy. The downside was on the date we wanted to go there wasn't any... More
