On arrival exterior of the York and Albany is shabby and in need of renovation. Location wise very close to Regents Park which is great. Paid a supplement to upgrade to a superior room. Room an average size with large bathroom catering for disabled guests so good to see that. Room decor poor paintwork flaking skirting board and window internal... More

This is the second time we have stayed here, and we would return without a doubt. The building is fabulous, the rooms are quirky but very comfortable, and the staff are jolly and helpful. A small problem with the bed linen was attended to immediately although it was late in the evening. Very nice to be able to drink in... More

I was a little nervous to book an overnight stay at the York & Albany as the majority of the reviews I read were very negative. However, I managed to get a very good deal through red letter days and decided to give it a go. I'm so glad I did as my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay!... More

We were booked under a Red Letter Day offer, the internal, in some places was a little tired, and in the evenings the level of lighting was very low, which resorted in some diners in the restaurant using their phones to read the menus. The food (3 choices per course), were very, very good. I had the crispy egg, then... More

Lovely service and ambience. This was probably the best roast I've had in London, the horseradish butter was a delicious accompaniment. Definitely worth the money! I would highly recommend it. The squid starter was outstanding and cooked perfectly.

I've probably said this in other reviews of other restaurants but I really did just enjoy the best Sunday roast at York & Albany followed by a ridiculously delicious popcorn ice cream sundae! We sat right by the kitchen, which distracted me a bit because the chefs were so busy yet so calm and good natured, and our waitress and... More

Waited 40 minutes for our starters - scallops were fantastic the Ballantine quite bland. Main courses were nothing to write home about, OK, but are not worth the price tag. Overall experience was OK but very expensive compared with other much nicer restaurants and VERY slow service.

Stayed overnight and ate in the restaurant, staff very pleasant and helpful, room very comfortable, food was well lovely and the service excellent. Would certainly return either on business or as a couple. A really nice place. Only 10 minutes from a Euston station and close to Regents Park.

This is a lovely restaurant in Camden and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, our extremely helpful, energetic and chatty waiter had such a strong foreign accent that -much as we loved him - neither I (foreign) nor my lunch partner (very British) could understand a lot of what he said. With 50% of his chatter going over... More

I arrived late from work and left early, so didn't eat in the 'gastropub'. I was showed my bijoux but lovely room with an open window for fresh air (unusual) and a good bathroom. The man at the front desk was super helpful. I had a speedy Waldorf salad in my room which was delicious, complimentary fizzy and still water... More
