The building from the outside looked like it needed some tlc, inside whilst retaining some original features it looked worn. The bedroom was nice, the bedding was lovely quality. I was disappointed that there was no tea or coffee making facilities but we could have used room service. Complimentary water was a nice touch. Our evening meal was superb ,... More

The hotel is small and has a lovely atmosphere to it. The staff on checking in are very helpful and all runs very smoothly. The room we had was a little small but the quality of the finishing was excellent and nice touches like cookies on arrival make it more special. The evening meal at the hotel was excellent and... Was given a Red letter experience by our son and daughter in law. Great welcome by staff and checked into our room, had an amazing room The Stable number 4 and it was huge great furniture and the bed so comfortable although on the main road didn't really hear any noise. Could have done with somewhere in shower to put... More

We were given a Red Letter experience by our children for my 50th which we added an extra night without dinner . Overall it was very good with a comfortable room , although the towel rail was broken off the wall so there was nowhere to hang wet towels . Like previous reviews there was confusion over the dinner menu... More

What a shame. We wanted to take my mother for Sunday lunch and I happened across the York & Albany knowing it was Gordon Ramsey the food should be excellent having been to the Maze, Savoy grill room and others. I am sorry it was OK but tough beef is not good. The limited roast selection was disappointing so we... More

We stayed at the York & Albany recently as part of an experience package. We were upgraded upon arrival, which was an unexpected plus, and our room was lovely. The rooms aren't large, but have bags of personality and individual touches - definitely beats your typical generic London hotel room. The only problem we had with the room was slow... More

We had a standard room but it was a delight. High ceilings and full length windows with wooden shutters instead of curtains that let in chinks of light and the sounds of the street outside. How refreshing after the boring hermetically sealed hotel rooms in most of London. The bed was very comfortable and the linen crisp and soft. The... More

Double room, but only two hangers in closet, no knobs or anything to hang your clothes. One chair, no water boiler. Couple of good cookies and grapes and one rotten apple. Bathroom smells bad and walls are dusty. No where to put soap or shampoo in shower except on floor. Bed is dirty - se pic. No info on WiFi... More

Stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast package on a Saturday evening. Staff were very freindly. The room, was ok, but not all the lights were working and the television needed re-tuning. I was expecting a little more luxury, but the room was clean. As we were inclusive of dinner, we were given a different menu to choose from which... More
