Have just returned from a two night break. The room was spotless and extremely comfortable and cosy. The food was fantastic and drink selection excellent. Would like to say a big thank to all the staff especially Vitar, Gordon, Michael, Gabrielle and receptionist Joanne all were extremely attentive and made our stay a joy. See you again soon

We reserved the Winter Chalet for two hours at a cost of £30 per head (x8) The experience was utterly disappointing the 'winter chalet' was a very ordinary garden shed and it wasn't in the courtyard it was around the back of the hotel. No ambience whatsoever, nothing Tyrolean - not even a candle or fairy lights inside. Such poor... More

Had lunch at the York and Albany starter a artichoke soup which was excellent followed by a ragout with tagliatelle which unfortunately the chef overdid the salt making it inedible , a dessert of rhubub and custard was very nice. The staff were very attentive. The drinks were on the expensive side. Parking was ok street about 100 yards away

It's a great value proposition - a boutique hotel attached to a well-known (but fairly empty on a weekday evening in January) restaurant owned by a celeb chef. Stuff yourself and then cut out any inconvenience of having to go home by just climbing the stairs (or waiting for the very slow lift) and tumbling into bed. The rooms are... More

I went with some friends last night and it was a bit disappointing. The service was ok not brilliant, the 2 for 1 dinner was only venison eg there was no choice. We ended up having the other menu which was ok. The pudding was delicious however and the waiter very sweet. Not sure if I would go again....

The reception staff were all friendly and helpful and our room full of character- vintage furniture and four poster bed (but with comfortable new mattress); bathroom was up to the minute with underfloor heating which was welcome to the toes. We dined elsewhere but breakfast was a very pleasant experience, the restaurant in the morning was relaxed and the waitress... More

Or first Visit was somewhat disapointing - we we taken through the menu and told there was pork belly instead of chops. I ordered the fish and chips my girlfriend the stone bass. the waiter came back and said the fish and... More

Bought this as a Christmas present for my partner and my sister and her partner. The deal was overnight stay with dinner. On arrival check in was a bit sketchy. With confusion over the red letter codes. However we went and had a drink in the bar before dinner and found the bar service was pretty good although they forgot... More

Stayed here for one night as it was local to where I need to be that night and the following day. Everything was great at the beginning - friendly staff, very nice room, etc, but was disappointed the following morning. I had breakfast (one slice of toast with half a small avocado, one slice of bacon and half a grilled... More

The restaurant extends into the bar area, which is where we sat ... and froze. On a cold night, it was drafty and uncomfortable (the sofas are too deep and too low for dining - they do look good though). What was worse was the exasperatingly slow service (30 minutes for a drink, 45 for starters) and the near cold... More

Staying in Camden

Neighborhood Profile
Camden
Famous for its sprawling cluster of markets and shops as well as for an embrace of all things counter culture, Camden offers a concentrated version of London street life. From bargain shopping and people watching to rubbing elbows in its abundance of pubs and bars, Camden is the place to be for many a Londoner. It is also home to some of the hottest live music venues in Europe. As packed as Camden High Street and its tributaries can get during the weekends, this neighborhood is right next to some of the city's most beloved outdoor spaces, namely Regent's Park and Primrose Hill.
