I booked Blackfriars as it is close to my office and I was going to be working late for a couple of nights. I was pleasantly surprised with the decoration of the apartment. A lot of serviced apartments have tired decor but this looked fresh and bright. The sitting room was a great size, the kitchen well equipped, the bathroom... More

I chose to stay here as I was tired of the hotel atmosphere. What I liked about the apartment was that it was modern, comfortable bed, fully equipped and neat. Downsides were: Unstable internet connection, the shower only worked on 1 temperature which was HOT, there were a few mites/mosquitoes around, the noise throughout the day/evening could be heard from... Dear Saffachapter, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We value your feedback and all the departments have been made aware of your comments. It has become apparent there was an issue with the internet line throughout the building, which has now been fixed. Our maintenance and housekeeping departments have also rectified your other comments. I apologise... More

Stayed Tuesday-Thursday on business. No problems with travel via taxis/tube but yes it is in a pedestrianised area. Plentry of pubs and restaurants keeping City time (busy lunchtimes and early evening, quiet at weekends). M&S at St Paul's perfect for stocking up. Any queries just call the number. Booked despite the two other reviews and really glad I did -... More

I was on biz trip in London for few days and my company put me in this service apartment. Good: The location is actually very convenient for work, as it's very central in the city. The living room and bedroom are quite spacious. Bad: The actual street address is a walking alley, so none of the cab driver knows about... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to review the property. We are always happy to hear feedback from our residents. I apologise that the taxi driver was unable to find Church Entry and we are working on our confirmation emails to give a better description of the location. The apartments are serviced weekly. The servicing includes cleaning, towel... More

After two weeks in this poorly run establishment, we found other accommodation. London is extremely busy now, otherwise we would have left earlier. We were in Apartment 2. Although the apartment is over two floors, it is partly underground. The bedroom looks out into a small concrete light well with a locked grate up at street level. Probably a fire... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
