Comfortable, warm and nice envoironment in which one feels at home. A place you can cook, iron and use internet services. No problems experienced and no nothing ontoward. Would highly recommend this hostel.

You have a very warm place to sleep but the bed is noisy. If you go a weekend prepare to have music coming from the bar until midnight. people are polite and the owner is a nice fella. ask him for good stuff to visit. he will give you good advice

On arrival, we were a bit worried by the "no refunds" sign in reception. We thought we better check the room first but actually the rooms are fine. Lovely and warm but the mattress was old and a bit uncomfortable. The springs squeaked very loudly every time you moved, definitely a few years past needing replaced. The big problem was... More

Walking into a hostel and the first thing you see is a sign saying "no refunds will be given" is not very reassuring. No ifs, buts or stipulations, just no. After an issue with the 'cash only' policy and the £20 room key deposit we were not told about, we got to out room. The room itself was a plesant... More

Is above a pub so expect noise all night from music. The beds were clean. It's an old building and our room with a single bunk bed had a window which had a cold breeze coming in. Mattresses were old and metal springs very uncomfortable. Security seems good with a key card to get in. Toilets seemed clean. Would recounted... More

A bit run down but I had a single room and it was fine, I would stay again. You have to pay a twenty pound deposit for the key but I got mine back no problem. They only take cash........................................................

My experience has been very positive. I felt like family, and I would feel definitely recommend it to other people this hostel. It was easy to socialize with people, and the staff is really great. The only flaw is the area that is not central, but from which it is easy to get to the center simply by underground

The hostel is located a litlle far away from the city centre (about 45 minutes by underground), and the reception is nice. They had a problem with the boiler system, and we had hot water only in the morning ( as i see, this was not the first time that this happens ). The rooms and the environment was not... More

It's rare that I would take the time to review a hotel, B&B or hostel, so there are good reasons for me taking the time to review No. 8. I travel through work and experience a plethora of establishmemts throughout the UK so I'm basing this review on a large sample of experiances. I ended up at No 8 with... More

I have been staying in a 4 bed superior female dorm and had an excellent stay. The toilets and showers, which are new and really nice, are next door, so it feels like you have an ensuite. The kitchen facilities are very good, even though it would be great with more mugs. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The location... More
