We stayed Sunday through the following Sunday and had a marvelous time. There was a short walk to the underground stations, a short walk to the bus and the hotel is within walking distance of other landmarks in London if one doesn't mind a 20 minute or less walk. I really liked the convenience of this location. The room was... More

We stayed Sunday-Wednesday. The apartments are in a great spot, well looked after, spacious and clean but this morning was obviously bin collection morning and we have been awake since 7am listening to the sound of, first the bins being emptied and then for the subsequent 2 hours the empty bins being dragged along the cobbles outside our rooms back to their... Very good location....on a short walk to the underground stations - depending which line you want you have a couple options which station to go to. The Apartments are very clean, we had a two bedroom and also used the pull out bed in the living room. Down side was that the apartments can be noisy at times when the... More

The apartment was very clean up and up one fairly steep flight of stairs. Due to recent changes in management or ownership, there are major changes in the availability of apartments and studio rooms. Our apartment was relatively large for London and well equipped. As it was at the rear, noise from the road was minimal. I have stayed in... More

The apartment was well stocked for a longer than weekend stay but there were several problems with the room that I cannot understand. The main one being the motion sensitive light in the bathroom?!?! Just why? This mainly meant that when showering my partner and I had to take it in turns to wave an arm through the door as... More

I've stayed in Think apartments previously and assumed I was booking into a similar experience as the London Bridge apartments with our Tower Bridge booking. There are two Think apartment buildings on Tower Bridge Road and the directions on our booking took us to the wrong building initially, but we were directed to the correct place. The staff were pleasant... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
