Very good. Excellent value. Clean. Friendly staff. Really excellent location. Would definitely use the Astor group again and this one is very close to the park. Already stayed at another in the Astor group a couple of years ago. Also a magnificent building.

Good location. Good price. Clean beds and stuff. Friendly staff and people around. Breakfast included - cereals, tea, coffee, milk, bread, jam and stuff available, toasters, kettle... just all you need. Also you can leave your luggages in the locked room. Free wi-fi in some areas. We stayed one night in December 2012.

I stayed at Astor Hyde Park Hostel for 7 nights in a 10 beds mix dorm. The room with bathroom was very clean as well for the kitchen downstairs. I haven't spoke to a lot of the employees but for the few ones i spoke too they were really friendly and helpful (especially Andrew). Because this hostel is in a... More

The location of this place is really central and it's a clean environment. this is where it ends. we liked most staff members however DAN at the front desk was incredibly unhelpful, rude and made us feel very uncomfortable, he is a horrible human

Two male austrailian staff members bullied two young girls from newcastle by refusing them to stop as one had no id. The bullying continued as they told us both that we would not be able to get into the british summer time festival because of id. This was also untrue as the only place that asked for id was this... I don't think that there is anywhere on earth with worse staff. The two Australian staff members I encountered are the most unprofessional, racist/regionalist jobsworths I've unfortunately had to deal with. Zero common sense, unhelpful and lie to your face when you query rules etc. On top of that, the hostel is filthy with questionable 'security'. Don't be fooled by... More

I stayed there for 1 night after watching a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. It was easy to find, situated next to the venue (barely a 1 min walk) and is close to the tube (10 min walk). So location wise it was great! When I first entered I was greeted very warmly by the staff at the reception,... More

We stayed two nights in London of which the first was at Astor Hyde Park Hostel. It was a pleasant experience. We stayed in an 8 man dorm, which was clean, neat and didn't smell funny. The front desk was helpful and informative, however they did charge me £2 to rent an old shabby bath towel. Compared to other hostels... More

It is located in a good neighborhood, near the National History Museum and the underground station. The staff is very friendly and they are ready to answer all your questions about tour and everything. The only thing that is not that good is that you need to get the underground to go to the most known places of the city.
