I stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm for seven nights with an attached bathroom. The room was clean and fairly spacious. Small bonus was the mirror and small table which meant that you could dry hair/apply makeup (important for us ladies) while someone is occupying the bathroom. The whole vibe of the hostel is good and the staff are... More

This hostel is a really great place to stay in London. It is 5min walk from Hyde park and about 10min walk from a tube station. The hostel is in a really nice part of London and it felt like a safe area to be walking alone at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were... More

Nicely located but a solid 15 minute walk to the nearest tube station. Breakfast was fairly standard and the facilities in the kitchen were handy. Not the most buzzing hostel in London but a clean, well-run joint nonetheless. Bathrooms were fairly cramped though.

The staff is fantastically nice--let me drop my luggage early in the morning and leave it until later in the evening. So, so nice. You're a few steps from hyde park and a five minute walk from the natural history museum. Wifi is good (important!) and facilities were clean. Can't ask for much more from a hostel. Would stay here... More

Price was very reasonable for the location! It was also sheer luck that I was just in time for the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland this year and the hotel was located perfectly close so I can avoid the crowd at the Tube stations. The wifi is pretty fast and the rooms are fairly simple but clean. The staffs were helpful... More

I stayed here as I didn't want to pay for a hotel being a student and all. I was expecting andump with dirty bathrooms, but was pleasantly surprised! The hostel was well maintained and clean. I stayed in a 12 bed dorm and found it okay..the noise wasn't too bad from the other people. They were really considerate. Only problem... More

The hostel was nice and clean. The rooms were big and comfortable. There was wifi connection. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped. However, it was not so clean. You have to take care of your personal belongings very carefully. I was robbed; one afternoon when I left, someone got into my room and stole my netbook. Luckily, we received a... More

The good: the rooms, bathrooms and common areas are very clean. Everything is as secure as it could possibly be (a video camera buzz-in left-luggage room, card-locks on the rooms, etc). Lots of advice and tips for stuff to do. The staff is friendly and helpful. The not-so-great: while the hostel is in a neighborhood that feels quite safe, it... More

Firstly the good points: the staff at this hostel were fantastic - really friendly and helpful. There was also plenty of information on things to see and do around London at reception. The location of the hostel was great - very close to Hyde Park and the tube. The cleanliness was about average for a hostel. It wasn't super clean... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
