Got there a little before the 2pm check in, having been told we could check in at 1pm. They did not seem completely prepared for us being early but despite this we got to our room in minutes. Clean, spacious, perfect for our needs. Separate sleep areas for adults and 2 kids. No tables by kids beds. Shower good, 2... More

I contacted the hotel via booking.com to request a later checkout. This was approved. However at 11am the cleaner was banging on the door and forcing us out, she got the manager involved and I had proof in the form of an email that we could stay until 1pm that day. Even with the proof she claimed that booking.com had... More

Cheap for London but you get what you pay for. Self check-in tiny room with shower/toilet/basin in the bedroom screened off. Overlooked the bins. We only wanted a place to sleep for the night and at least the bed was comfortable and shower ok.

Worst hotel experience ever. The room itself was very small had an awful smell coming from the toilets which was only partially masked with air freshener. After going to bed at around midnight, a loud alarm started going off from the empty and locked room next door which immediately woke us up, and didn't stop. We realised it must have... More

I had read a range of reviews about the Belle, we were going to the Opera on Trooping The Colour Day so our choice of hotels was limited. Our room was partly clean, the bin was full from the previous guests and the towels had brown stains (they had obviously never been in a hot wash). However there is linen... More

Well arrived full of trepidation after reading a number of the negative updates on here but was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived. Its obvious that the hotel has been refurbished from the gloss black front door and updated entry. My room was in the basement and very nice it was too with plenty of space, a very nice bathroom... Obviously, I can only speak for myself, and some of the reviews below are a bit worrying, but I found the experience of staying at Belle Cour to be positive. Firstly, they allowed us to check into one of our three rooms 2 hours early at no additional cost, which was very much appreciated by our party. Not only this,... More

Booked this accommodation as friends had elderly relo nearby. Arrived from Australia and took the tube to Russell Sq arriving about 9pm. Could not get in. Luckily the very helpful restaurant on the corner rang the number provided on the door and I was gruffly informed that I had been emailed the door codes to enter the premises. I informed... More

During my stay at Belle Hotel, it is specifically stated on the website, email, sign and door card the hotel is called Belle Cour hotel and being new to London Google maps wasn't very useful as it takes to a different hotel called Belle Cour and this one is just Belle Hotel. I wasn't very impressed when the maintenance man... More

We booked this last minute as the trains were running oddly (if at all) so we needed a place to stay. The location is central and a 5 minute stroll from Euston. if you are looking for a bed then this is the place. It was clean and tidy. The rooms are very small but adequate, we had an issue... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
