We stayed in a 2 Bed, 2 Bath apartment with our young adult daughter. The bedrooms were spacious, however the bathrooms were quite small by our standards but clean. Very nicely equipped kitchen which we only used the frig. Stayed on the 5th floor which was quiet and AC worked well. Elevator was a bit tricky at times, but we... More

Top location for access to Heathrow and West End by Underground, and good facilities nearby. Most recent stay was in one-bed apartment facing street. Some noise early evening, but no disturbed sleep. Bed very comfortable, although access to one side not ideal. Very clean throughout; good kitchen which was well-equipped.

We stayed in room 401 for a number of days. Perhaps a little rough around some edges, it offered comparatively spacious apartment accommodation, a welcome change from some shoe boxes we've stayed in. Kitchen facilities were good, wifi good, availability of a laundry room was welcome. Staff were most accommodating, housekeeping was good. More broadly the Harrington is well located in... More

Had a lovely apartment for one night at the Harrington, double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen/dining area. Plenty restaurants and pubs nearby, and a tube station on the next corner. Also within walking distance of the Royal Albert Hall.

The Harrington was in a nice location with restaurants located near and two metro stops close by. The apartment was nice and clean and the staff was always polite and friendly. The bed was not so comfortable, two beds stuck together to make one large one just does not work well. We were on the second floor and heard the... More

We were greeted by friendly staff who were helpful on all fronts. Our room was clean but in dire need of paint and repairs (a huge water stain on the ceiling, cracked and peeling paint, room smelled of smoke, etc.) The living room furniture was woefully inadequate (one very small uncomfortable loveseat for seating) and bedding was poor. (Just a... More

On checking in we were a bit surprised at having to pay upfront for our two night stay in addition to an extra £100 authorised amount, we’re use to settling up on check out, but haven’t previously had to pay upfront on check in. However we were tired and just looking forward to relaxing n our room and enjoying our... More

We stayed 21st-23rd of March and I have to say that everything was fine in relation to most factors I had considered before booking. 150 metres from Gloucester Road Tube Station, Walking distance from the Museums, A nice Waitrose next to the Tube Station and plenty of convenient pubs. The only slightly disappointing aspect was the accommodation in a small... More

We were booked into the Think Apartment London & whilst in Ireland ascertained that they were going into Liquidation & could not then accommodate us. So we went online & contacted The Harrington - they booked us in with no problem. On arrival in London & on way to Bournemouth to see family we called into the Harrington & the staff... More

Superb accommodation, ideally located. Clean, unique, great (simple) service. Self catering facilities a real bonus over standard hotel option (altho Brunch at pub round the corner was hard to resist). Will definitely stay again when in London. We stayed during New Year and it offered everything we could want from accommodation.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
