We decided to stay south of the river as we were only staying for one night and the Wellington seemed perfect as it was right next to Waterloo Station. We arrived at 12 noon knowing the rooms would not be ready before 2pm. We were met by very helpful staff at a busy session, but in the time it took... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Service was polite and attentive, despite the pub being busy serving food at check in time. The room ( on the 2nd floor) was perfectly adequate for our requirements - decent bathroom, plenty of storage space and very comfy bed. We slept soundly, without the earplugs provided. If you like a good... More

When we arrived at the rear of Waterloo Station and looked across the road at the Wellington, my wife looked at me and asked ' What have I done ? ' 'Dont worry, it'll be fine'......and it was ! Large busy pub on the ground floor with wonderful ceiling murals of guess who ? Man on a horse waging war... More

To start, lets get things clear, this is a 3* hotel (in fact the manager refers to it as a B&B). Having said that I've stayed in 4* and 5* hotels which could take lessons from The Wellington. The welcome can't be faulted and like other reviewers we were guided to the stairs to the rooms. I was expecting some... More

It's odd that so many reviews listed here refer to the Wellington in Victoria rather than by Waterloo Station, but noticeable that most of the less-than-complimentary reviews refer to the Victoria establishment. In no particular order, let's get a couple of facts straight (our starter for ten): 1. Wellington is owned by Fullers, a very good London-based brewer selling fine... More

First impression is very good, you enter the Hotel's main entrance and you are greeted with a superb and very impressive bar, with paintings, Muriel’s and wood panelling, we arrived at 13:00 and had a drink in the Bar while we were waiting to check in at 14:00, the gentleman behind the bar was very helpful and polite. We were... More

Family of 4 (Children aged 6 & 12) Overnight stay to see a show. One of the nicest pub interiors we've seen. Landlord and Staff very welcoming and helpful (gave good recommend for secure overnight parking nearby) - nothing was too much trouble. Spacious family room (Double + Single with pull out bed - also Travel Cot if needed). Ensuite... More

We dropped someone off at Heathrow and decided to go online to book a cheap and cheerful for the night and boy was this it!!! We booked at 7.15 and got to the hotel at 9.15 to find out that they hadn't received our booking (even though we had paid). I said this was ok as I had email confirmation... More

When they say this hotel is near Waterloo station, they ain't joking! Be warned, if you don't like train noise, you probably won't like it here, because it is right next to the tracks, but at the same time you CANNOT beat it for location - close to everything you could need. A very warm welcome, loved the little touches... More
