On my way to London for a retirement party, my wife phoned and said I could stay overnight. I have stayed at the Alfred Hitchcock before, and on the off chance stopped to see if they had a room. Success! the last one available. Room was fine, with decent size shower. Facing the main road can be noisey, especially on... More

We stayed here one night last week having made a telephone booking some weeks ago when unable to find anywhere else in the area for a family gathering in Walthamstow. At £49 incuding breakfast for an en-suite double room in London we were unsure of quite what we would find. We had read mixed reviews but didn't see anything awful... More

Room was not large, but was pretty cheap and was better than you would imagine for the price. Lots of exposed beams and panelling lent a good atmosphere. Take earplugs; on a main road, but not overly noisy. Food and breakfast was OK, but nothing to write home about. The stand out was the service. Just excellent. Will book again... More

My husband and I were visiting friends and booked a room. We actually met on a blind date here 7 years ago. We never booked a room then I hasten to add !!! So it was nice to return. As other reviewers have stated, the rooms are clean and warm and the breakfast was enough for us. An iron and... More

The hotel was recommended to me by a friend who lives locally. I was a little concerned that the B&B rate almost seemed too good to be true. Don't bother trying to enquire online - just ring them and speak to them. There wasn't a huge amount of parking, but luckily I got right outside the front of the hotel.... More

Found the staff rushed and not welcoming, not sure of my booking etc, rang up the night before and was told that she didn't want payment now as she was too busy. room was ok, basic and clean but very noisy at front of hotel with road noise and under other rooms so could hear everyone moving around upstairs. Found... More

Just back from a two day visit to Sir Alfred. Couldn't be happier with the experience. Welcoming atmosphere, clean linen, super breakfast and a very good evening meal. Plenty of secure parking and all within easy reach of the tube and the west end. Epping forest just over the road made this a memorable visit. What is there not to... More

Sofia and Leonardo are most accommodating hosts. Not once did they disappoint me. The location near to Leytonstone Tube station is excellent for getting around London. The food is superb and plentiful. The staff are helpful and cheerful. I would stay here again.
