The hotel is well located close to Paddington tube station. It is tatty and in need of more than a lick of paint but clean. We had a room with four single beds and a tiny shower room. We were caught out by having to pay for towels; £2 for small hand towels. Drying after a shower was a challenge... More

The "quadruple" room I stayed in with three relatives was really a small double bedroom with four single beds squeezed into it - very uncomfortable to stay in, even if only for a few nights. There wasn't any surface space to set anything, and only a handful of hangers in the wardrobe, which didn't close properly. The decor was dated... More

We recently stayed at the continental hotel without any problem. The room was clean with comfortable beds, 24 hours reception, quiet and safe, the staff is friendly and ready to help when you ask. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

If you want somewhere to stay on a tight budget the continental hotel is the right place. It is clean, centrally located and most importantly really cheap prices which also include continental breakfast the staff is friendly.

The bedding was clean everything else was very old and tired, the bathroom was straight off the ark and the stay was poor backpackers at best. The breakfast was also basic... the location is superb the Square is beautiful so what more can you expect for £50. It's a bed for the night expect no more and you won't be... More

The hotel is situated in a brilliant location in London. Very close from the city centre. The price was great for the location. It's not the best in regards with the rooms condition and facilities. Only two toilets to share between 100s of guests. The room are tiny even the double ones. If you are looking for a cheap place... More

Unless you want and prefer to get sick and you like slumming, do not stay here. No kidding. PS still considering that dirty could be fun to see, well this is to bad to be funny. I stayed for 3 nights in September 2014. I'm still sick getting better - got a cold/flu and I have a sour throat. Already... More

We just returned from London, we stayed at the continental hotel, we didn't mind the basic accommodation which was clean though - we enjoyed the breakfast which was included in the price. We are going to stay here next time we are in London.

It was our first time in this hotel, the receptionist gave us the key and told us about breakfast and hot water time which was very helpful. The room was basic but clean and tidy, for the money we paid it was nice (we did not expect any toiletries) after all it is a budget hotel and we were aware.... More

I am currently (unfortunately) staying here, for the price it's slightly below what you would expect for a city centre guesthouse, dirty yes, smelly yes, shabby yes. That is what you get for paying cheap prices and you can't expect much better. But on top of this they charge you £5 for wifi even if your television is broken so... More
