Booked a weekend at this hostel, rooms very clean, lovely hot showers and great staff, Agnes was very helpful thank you. Slightly disturbing scene in the reception desk when we witnessed a middle aged man with a young child screaming abuse at the staff, somehow the staff remained calm but the situation made us feel a little uncomfortable , the... I am multi level disabled and my 8 year old son and i were assured that despite a flight of stairs YHA St. Paul's was suitable. i had to sleep on the floor because the cabin beds were not suitable when i tried to get out in an emergency after my son had vomited and choked. no member even now... Stayed in a family room witty hubby and 2 teens. Not very much room with bags in room. 70 odd steps up to the room, not easy with heavy bag. Friendly and warm, with communal spaces. Breakfast good value for london. St. Paul's bells can be heard every 15 minutes, nice to listen to once you can sleep through it.

We stayed at the YH for one night and wish we had booked for longer!! Its a stone's throw from St Pauls Cathedral so right in the centre for all sorts of things. We booked a double room which was very clean, the bed was great, very supportive as I have a problem with my back. There was a sink... More

As Part of a school visit to London, we stayed in this youth hostel for the first two nights of our visit. A reasonably priced breakfast at £4.99 was just enough to set us up for the day. I opted for the English Breakfast which was adequate. There was also yoghurt, fruit, toast with condiments, tea and coffee and various... More

I was really surprised when seeing the room. It was spacious, located on the ground floor and the bed was better than expected. There is a large bathroom and everything is clean. For 4.99 £ you can have an excellent British breakfast. The shared lunchroom is large enough for over 60 people and you can spend the evenings in a... More

I stayed in the ten bed dorm on the lower ground floor. The room was very spacious and did not feel overcrowded, and had an ensuite shower and toilet which were always clean. However there was only one socket in the room. There is a TV room with comfortable chairs and sofas, no kitchen unfortunately. I didn't try out the... More

I haven't stayed at many hostels, and this was much more comfortable than expected. I stayed in a room with several other women, and found the accomodations great! The staff was helpful, and it was great having access to a laundry room on the premisis.

Hi Girl091085 Great review and thorough for prospective visitors, I note you say about the toilets being used frequently in the mornings and understand your point so with immediate effect we have asked our housekeeping team to check the toilets on the hour every hour to ensure we keep on top especially as you point out, at busy times. Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
