Okay, it's a hostel, and as far as hostels go, it's pretty good. It was recommended by a well-travelled friend who stays there often. I was there for three nights and didn't have such a great time. The bathrooms were a bit insalubrious when I stayed. Worst of all, I forgot my lock and bought one at reception. It was... More

I stayed here alone for one night, for an audition the following day. I regularly travel on my own, but it always seems important to be somewhere I feel safe; YHA St Pauls was ideal. I checked in a dumped my bags in my private room. The staff were helpful informing me about breakfast/dinner times, etc... My room was basic,... More

What a great place for a family to stay in the heart of the city!! The old choristers accomodation makes a perfect,if slightly eccentric, hostel and we, as a family, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Very comfortable room, and the staff were brilliant in about 5 languages each!! The fact that everything in London is just a short bus ride,... More

The pros: it's in a beautiful old building, with comfortable common spaces, and a central location (five minutes from Tate Modern and Millennium Bridge, a stone's throw from Saint Paul's). Cheap meals are served in the dining area, and WIFI is available for 5 pounds/24 hours. The cons: the rooms were clean, but very sparse and sterile, and my little... More

We booked a family room, 3 months ahead of flying from Australia to London and it was well worth the pre planning as a number of people were turned away as it was booked out. ( we didn't book YHA's in Penzance and Stow on the Wold and a number of other spots and were suprised that they were booked... More

Overall, our stay at this hostel was great! Reception was very helpful, as they had toiletries for sale and it's staffed 24-7. The dorm that we stayed in was very clean, but it wasn't very big. There were actually three bunk beds attached to each other, which made the bottom bunk a little tight. The bathrooms were very clean and... More

For the price of it (around £20/night) it was worth it. The location is very good with bus stop and the underground very near and also if you're not afraid to walk you can reach almost all the sightseeings within 30-45 mins. Sometimes during the night we woke up to the church bells but generally it's a quiet neighbourhood and... More

If you're alone in London, do not want to be spending a lot on hotels but want a clean and decent place, and want to make new friends - YHA St.Pauls is your best bet.. It is housed in a building that once was the residence halls of the St. Pauls Cathedral Choir (or so I am told!). The beds... More

This is the second Hostel International I have stayed in. For the £25 or so I spent for each night, I couldn't expect anything better. The hostel is very clean and quiet. Young tourists come but it could not be considered as a 'social' hostel. People barely get to know each other, unless they sleep in the same room than... More
