I've already used a YHA for a trip with my students so I didn't hesitate booking a second time. For a place to stay in Central London at a great price this place can't be beat. The rooms are clean, you don't have to go too far down the corridor to find a loo or shower. The communal areas are... More

YHA St Pauls, located right around the corner from the Cathedral down the side road between Yo! Sushi and Strada. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm room (Room 30), which has NO power sockets. I spoke to reception and they offered to charge any tech for me behind the counter or suggested that I find a free power socket... More

YHA St Paul’s is all about location. It is well located for all the Tubes and Buses. It is in the ‘Square Mile’ and the area is very hip. The street lay out is medieval and interesting to walk around in. The hostel was great because I could reach just about any of the major London attractions very easily. When... More

Every year I visit London I always book YHA St Pauls because of it's prime location and excellent pricing. After deciding what dates to visit, I booked again and arrived into the hostel mid afternoon. The room I was put into for several of the nights was in the basement, which was better that being placed in one of the... More

Hi Ana, Thank you for taking the time to review YHA London St Pauls, Im pleased that you were happy with your rooms and that you chose to come back to St Pauls. Booked a weekend at this hostel, rooms very clean, lovely hot showers and great staff, Agnes was very helpful thank you. Slightly disturbing scene in the reception desk when we witnessed a middle aged man with a young child screaming abuse at the staff, somehow the staff remained calm but the situation made us feel a little uncomfortable , the... I am multi level disabled and my 8 year old son and i were assured that despite a flight of stairs YHA St. Paul's was suitable. i had to sleep on the floor because the cabin beds were not suitable when i tried to get out in an emergency after my son had vomited and choked. no member even now... Hi, Although we are happy to receive constructive feedback from all of our guest you fail to mention the room was booked by yourself and you were made aware of the room type at time of booking. Stayed in a family room witty hubby and 2 teens. Not very much room with bags in room. 70 odd steps up to the room, not easy with heavy bag. Friendly and warm, with communal spaces. Breakfast good value for london. St. Paul's bells can be heard every 15 minutes, nice to listen to once you can sleep through it.

We stayed at the YH for one night and wish we had booked for longer!! Its a stone's throw from St Pauls Cathedral so right in the centre for all sorts of things. We booked a double room which was very clean, the bed was great, very supportive as I have a problem with my back. There was a sink... More

As Part of a school visit to London, we stayed in this youth hostel for the first two nights of our visit. A reasonably priced breakfast at £4.99 was just enough to set us up for the day. I opted for the English Breakfast which was adequate. There was also yoghurt, fruit, toast with condiments, tea and coffee and various... More

Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
