As we were coming to Greenwich to see The Gipsy Kings concert we decided to make it a short break in Greenwich. There are hotels nearby but we decided we would like to stay somewhere with a bit of character - hence the choice of Number 37. It proved to be an excellent decision. On arrival, Julia could not have... More

Made utterly perfect by the most accommodating and helpful owner. I stayed in a great room and returned several times for business stays. Quiet, comfortable and a home from home. A very, very pleasant stay and I'd definitely return and recommend

Convenient for public transport, yet in a really quiet street. Very welcoming hostess provides tea and delicious home-made cake on arrival. Good breakfasts too. Spotless and attractively furnished. We're highly likely to go again.

Just back from a long weekend in Greenwich, London staying at No 37. So different and lovely from staying in a hotel - the garden room (with access to the courtyard garden) was lovely, spacious and airy with a great bed - so comfortable. Breakfasts were great - lots of choice, lovely food. The host Julia was so helpful re... More

This is a fantastic bed and breakfast. There are a great many chain hotels popping up all around London and they seem to be cold and without character. 37 is not one of these - It is warm, quaint and 5 minutes away from central London by train. Julia is an enthusiastic host who knows a lot about London -... More

Number 37 is on a quiet residential street which is ideally placed for walking to shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and all the attractions of Greenwich like the Cutty Sark and the magnificent park. It is also incredibly close to 2 stations on the DLR and several frequent bus services. The owner Julia is a charming, amusing and helpful hostess who... More

What a find this was! Lovely, elegant (with quirky touches) townhouse in Greenwich. My daughter and I shared the garden room which was delightful. Pretty decor, comfy beds, so peaceful - I couldn't believe it for London, slept so well. Wonderful breakfast with everything you could want and more, beautifully presented. And a funny, charming and helpful host - what... More

Great find and an extremely friendly home - in an ideal location; it is close to the train station and the Royal Park as well as the markets and Greenwich tome centre. Room was homely and all that is described is accurate. Other reviews are just as accurate - so recommend emailing; note only a couple of rooms so book... More

Staying in Greenwich

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
