This is the perfect place to stay to get to everything. Close to subway, trains, buses, Thames boats and nice walks. It is really close enough to walk to most attractions. Very clean, well appointed and quiet. The Hosts are lovely and make you feel welcome. Wonderful place to stay.

London is my favourite big city to visit but accommodation can be a bit of a crap shot. Over the years I've stayed in everything from hostels to 4 star hotels but the only one I've returned to is Captain Bligh House. If self catering accommodation in a great location is what you're looking for, this is the place to... More

Myself and my wife have recently paid our fifth visit to Captain Bligh House and as far as we are concerned it just gets better. If like us you prefer self catering and you can stay for four nights (Min stay) or (longer of course) then Capn Blighs in our opinion cannot be beaten. On our very first visit we... More

Captain Bligh House is a wonderful quaint place with gracious owners, who are there whenever you need them, but otherwise keep discretely out of sight. Go there and experience for yourself, you will not be disappointed. The rooms are decorated in great taste and the kitchenette is an added advantage. Close to Westminster and 5 minutes walk to the underground... More

The Bligh House is conveniently close to a the stop (3 blocks) and the London Eye (10 minute walk). The owners are on site and helpful, when needed. We stayed in the Crow's Nest, which is a bit like your first apartment out of college, but the London Apartment and the Queen's Parlor look like upgrades without more money (book... More

Since discovering Captain Bligh House in 2010 (through Tripadvisor), we have returned every year. We cannot imagine staying anywhere else when in London and now contact Gayna first to check availability. Only then do we book our flight from Canada. What do we like? - The comfort and cleanliness - the exact opposite of a generic hotel or the average... More

Captain Bligh House may be the best place to launch your London visit. First of all your hosts are real professionals, they give you all the info you ask for and make many helpful materials very accessible to you. They make any request you make their priority and get it done for very timily fashion. The taxi we requested was... More

I am a solo 60+ traveler who was fortunate to have stayed 12 nights at the Captain Bligh House in the Royal Suite. My rooms were full of "Queen Elizabeth II" knick-knacks, photos, etc. which was a nice way to be reminded of her becoming the longest reigning British monarch. I absolutely agree with the many positive comments already made... More

After spending the previous three months backpacking through Europe, I had hoped to spend the last week of my travels in a little comfort, peace and quiet. And boy, did Captain Bligh House deliver! I stayed 8 nights back in May in the Captains Cabin, and it was the perfect size for a solo traveller, beautifully furnished, spacious and filled... More
