Easy to find - just a 2/3 minute walk from Southwark underground station. As a lone female traveller arriving after 11pm at night (midweek) I felt quite safe walking to the hotel from the Tube as there were plenty of people out and about. In the morning, I walked to Waterloo at 7am - around a 10 minute walk and again, felt quite safe. The hotel itself is basic but clean and tidy. The room (a twin bedded room) was fairly spacious (for London), air-conditioned, smelled fresh and the bed / bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and tidy but the shower a bit of a pain as the shower curtain just didn't hold the water in sufficiently so you do have to deal with a significant puddle on the floor when you're done. There was some noise from the (very close) train line outside the window but this didn't bother me through the night - either I slept heavily or the trains stopped running. It may be an issue if you aren't retiring late or waking early and are sensitive to sound. I didn't use the attached restaurant but it was busy and breakfast looked good. Would stay here again if looking for a no-frills bed for the night. Could have been a bit cheaper though (was a 3-figure sum, but the cheapest option in the area).

Not happy dirty bathroom greasy slippy floor very bad mouldy and damp smell, pillows were not good, no one to talk to on reception when handing keys back. Our clothes smelt after the stay and nothing offered in the way of another room. Guy came to fix the blocled vent which was dirty and very clogged this still didnt remove the smell even after spraying to room with freshener.

I understand that the housekeepers probably have a lot of rooms to do in such a big hotel, but the cleanliness of the room was not good at all. There was toothpaste marks on the bathroom floor from previous guests, there was a buildup of brown scum at the bottom of the toilet, The shower curtain was incredibly mouldy, the soap dispenser by the sink had no soap in It and lastly not the housekeepers fault, but the sink was badly blocked and smelt horrific

The card was constantly not working and the receptionist was not polite. The room was clean but the bathroom was a bit dirty. Quite disappointed considering that I have been to Travelodge before but this one was not what I expected.

Comfy and lovely stay, would recommend, close to Southwark station and Waterloo, easy to check in and quiet too. Would definitely be coming back and trying a SuperRoom but the small family room is nice and clean.

Arrived for a 5 night stay and room smelled of smoke. Requested a room change. Sadly, in the new room building works below the hotel woke me up at 07.30. But the staff were excellent and were on it. Bhanu and Molly particularly were super attentive and did all they could to get me well settled. Location is perfect. Breakfast was very good. A mixed bag but a big thank you to the staff.
