Would have liked to have given a better rating. The staff were excellent, friendly, courteous and helpful. We attended a function which was really well organized. The venue was superb and the food great, served quickly and efficiently. Breakfast is served from 7am till 10 with a fine range of choices. The whole was let down by the bedroom. The... More

I usually stay at one of the Millennium Hotels in South Ken when I visit London, but welcomed the opportunity to try the VSC with my husband who is US Army. My mother in law had 1 room in the older wing, and we had 1 in the new and each was wonderfully clean, nicely appointed, with nice decor and... More

If you want peace and quiet, this may not be the place for you! Upon entering the foyer I was amazed by the poor welcome by the reception team. Two members of staff on duty, one dealing with customers the other making an attempt to look busy. Even if he was dealing with something an acknowledgement would have been nice!... More

A very pleasant experience. Arrival and departure was easy, reception businesslike, concierge more than accommodating, breakfast excellent, room clean and tidy. 9/10, try finding better at the price. I look forward to returning. Head porter fount of all knowledge and staff all helpful and courteous.

We thrilled to find that U.S. Service members and family are welcome at this fantastic hotel in the center of London! Location could not be beaten, just around the corner from Marble Arch tube station, shopping on Oxford Street, or a leisurely stroll in Hyde Park. I stayed in a single room in the refurbished Memorial Wing which was lovely.... More

Stayed one night before flying out of Heathrow. Once again the welcome was warm, the room was comfortable, the bar's prices were reasonable and breakfast was more than adequate. But the Club's greatest asset is its location - easy to get to, discounted parking if required and close to the underground and shopping/attractions.

We are both X Royal Navy and have just found this hotel, we were well impressed, the rooms very clean and adequate size - staff very friendly, Bar lovely surroundings, reasonably priced snacks and drinks, and warm lovely atmosphere.

VSC is in a great location, very central and convenient for getting around. We had a double room in the Centenary Wing on the 2nd floor, overlooking Seymoor Street, which was quiet. Although this room was one of the reburbished ones, it was not enhanced by the 'brown' colour scheme which made it appear a little dingy. However, the bedroom... More

The last time I stayed was over 30 years ago whilst still a serving officer, and to be honest it was rather tired. My wife's choir were singing at the Albert Hall, so I booked a basic room for my stay expecting the club to be much as it used to be. What a surprise! The public areas had had... More

From arrival to departure this was a very pleasant experience. I have for the last 15 years had the pleasure of running a miltary hotel and having stayed here can honestly say it is up there with the best. Arrival and departure was effortless, reception faultless, concierge more than accommodating, breakfast excellant, room clean and tidy (not the best view... More
