My husband and I stayed here for seven days in September 2014. It was so convenient to step off the train from Scotland, cross the street, and find the hotel right there! Our room was on the 6th floor, with a clear view of St. Pancras and King's Cross. It is a rather bustling neighborhood, so I wasn't expecting absolute... More

We spent 5 nights there last autumn. Upon first arrival, when we came out of the tube station we found that it was only one minute walk to there! We were given a big & nice room on the top floor, and it was quiet. Yet, marks had to be decucted as housekeeping was lousy --- halfly cleaned bathroom, no... More

Stayed here at the end of February for a weekend with my girlfriend for a little break. Firstly, the location of the Megaro Hotel is brilliant. As soon as you walk out of Kings Cross Station you see it right in front of you, which is also brilliant as you can get a tube to anywhere in London from the... More

Oh dear what a terrible hotel! I have never left a poor review so it must be bad. The room which I paid extra for to have deluxe - stains on the sofa bed thing just look awful - the shower is a complete joke - But the worst part is the noise! No double glazing so you hear everything.... More

First off hotel is clean and in a great location. Problem with the location is that's it's on a very busy noisy street. I don't understand how it's acceptable not to have double or triple glazing here. All night I had traffic noise, people shouting, sirens and people working on scaffolding till 1am. At 3am someone was constantly beeping a... More

This is a smashing little hotel right outside Kings Cross Station. I've stayed here on a number times now and always had a nice stay. The food in is good (breakfast is yummy) and the little cocktail bar has a great little atmosphere! The rooms are large (I've only stayed in the deluxe rooms) and they have coffee makers, different... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night on the way to and back from our holiday on Eurostar. The rooms were very bright and clean. The bed extremely comfortable especially after a long journey ( and sleeping in continental beds). The shower took some effort to work out how it worked, but saying that was very powerful. I would... This hotel has no idea how to treat clients who have a problems with their room. I had a number of issues incl no washing facilities, phone not working , lights faulty, room thermostat problem and no instructions about any facilities or services . When I asked for compensation I got short shrift from the ops manager who refused to... More

I recently had the pleasure of spending a few days at the Hotel Megaro. The hotel is very well located, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and of a generally excellent quality given its (relatively reasonable) price. The food in the restaurant/bar on the ground floor of the hotel is fantastic (try the pancakes for breakfast!). I would especially like to send... More

Really like it here. It's location is absolutely brilliant- King's Cross station connects to almost everywhere. Great food at your doorstep. The deluxe room is spacious, clean lines, practical and very clever touches. I had an Illy coffee maker, Sky TV and the Internet is free (fast connection!) Love the spacious bathroom and the Orla Kelly toiletries. I'll be sure... More

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
