If you want cheap hotel in easy walking distance of buses, trains & underground at Victoria then this might be for you. However the stairs to the rooms are a killer, there's no lift. Also there was an unpleasant smell in our room, which was so small we had to keep moving the bed which was on casters for this... More

Stayed here earlier this week and the hotel is awful. There is an awful smell in the corridors and the bathrooms and toilets were dirty. The breakfast (toast) was adequate, but the coffee tasted bitter. The whole place needs a good clean and a revamp. Would not recommend or stay there again.

I chose this hotel because of its location being just 2 minutes walk from Victoria station, and I was on a tight budget since I was travelling alone without the wife and kids. Was greeted with huge smiles and friendliness, and not just on the first day but every time I walk in or out of the hotel. Very friendly... More

We stayed here for 1 night & I have to say the location was good, as we wanted to get to Westminster it took 15-20 minutes to walk. The hotel was small & did smell of rotten eggs when we arrived, however the room was big enough with clean sheets & towels, the bad thing was the view from the... More

I want to start with the positive points of this hotel.. I must say, the room and the bathroom were both clean and the location is pretty well since Victoria Station is only a few meters away (which also causes that there are many homeless people around at night). Also, the bed was comfortable and we got new towels every... More

I spent a while trying to find a hotel in a good location for Apollo Victoria theatre that wouldn't break the bank. This place was perfect, being a couple of minutes walk to the theatre and also to Victoria station - staff were lovely and bent over backwards to help us (the fan in our room was broken on arrival... I was originally worried about some of the previous reviews but we found our room spacious and clean. True some updating is required and our TV didnt work properly. But this is catered for in the price - try getting near Buckingham Palace for anything close to this. The location is excellent

Our room in this hotel was small and basic but very clean. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We was grateful for the use of the luggage room after we had checked out. Perfect location for our trip to the Victoria Apollo Theatre. We would use this this hotel again for an overnight stay in London.

Staying in Pimlico

Neighborhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighborhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
