I always stay at Park House when I visit my home Town Liverpool,it is so homely and friendly, clean, and everything is perfectly done, I always have an en-suite single room and it is very cosy, with everything one needs. The price couldnt be better, the location very good, half way between Liverpool and Southport, with local amenities, many Restaraunts... More

We stayed at Park House for one night and would definitely stay again if in the area. Rooms are dated but very clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent. Sister Marian and Sister Carmel are delightful.

This is a delightful place to stay with the sisters in Waterloo , North Liverpool .We could not fault it in any respect , and enjoyed its hospitality very much . We are non-catholics , and this didn't seem to matter , as the welcome was one of the best I can remember . Breakfast was just right , as... More

I stayed here for one night on 14th April 2014 .I was attending a dinner in The Royal Hotel but the price of staying in Park House was what swung it (The Royal wanted 30 pounds more) Park House is of course a convent and the sister who welcomed me (Sister Carmel I think ) and sorted out the registration... My friend and I adored our accommodations including our lovely breakfasts. The location of the Guest House was terrific and above all, the people were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone.

I stayed 1 night on Sunday 30th June, this is the second time I have stayed here and it wont be my last time. If you want a spotlessly clean en-suit room, with plenty of space and a comfortable bed, this is the place to stay. The full English breakfast is cooked to order with plenty tea/toast/juice etc... Other facilities... More

Quirky as befits its provenance, but fascinating because of that. Within 10 minutes easy walk of Waterloo Station with regular trains to Liverpool and Southport, and there are shops and restaurants nearby, but very quiet just off the main A565 Crosby/Liverpool Road. My downstairs single room was spacious enough, plain but clean, and at £33 for one night's B &... More

I have to start by declaring an interest as my wife's uncle works on night security, but as the guest house is run by Augustinian Sisters, I hope this will be allowed. We stayed for 2 nights as a family group and I have rarely felt so at home in a guest house. The decor is certainly old fashioned, and... More

This former hospital is now run as a guest house by nuns. Upsides: well located, quiet, free parking, clean, spacious, large bedrooms (at least our first-floor room was) and freshly-cooked breakfast. Downsides: the decor is reminiscent of Father Ted, and anyone turning up after 2.00 am won't be let in (it doesn't mention this on the website.) But at £60... More

Stayed overnight whilst attending a function locally. This used to be a nursing home in a previous life...I was born there, so I was fascinated to return to it in its new identityas a guesthouse 63 years later! The nuns are still in evidence as the hosts. They are friendly and industrious. The breakfast was an English cooked offering and... More
