The hostel was not far from one of the city's landmarks 'the bombed out church'? it's on a small side street (with pay and display parking and there were free spaces even on a staurday night) just off a street with most things you would need e.g take outs, newspaper shops (where you can get basic food supplies), a few... more

The hostel itself is a bit far from the town center, but the non-suburban parts of Liverpool aren't that big. The hostel is within walking distance of the bus station, and it was probably a 20 or 30 min walk for me (I'm a slow walker) to albert dock, which is where most of the action is. For the price,... more

I decided to stay at Cocoon (part of the International Inn) as it seemed like a reasonable compromise between a hostel and a hotel. Good budget price and reasonable amenities in the room, but on the whole I was disappointed. The Wifi purported to be available in every room is, in fact, not - and the most helpful staff were... more

Exceptional value for money, lovely, clean accommodation, friendly staff and central location - what more can I say! This made my stay perfect. With it being a hostel (and a last resort as hotels were booked up) I was not expecting too much. However, I was blown away! Its tucked away down a little street but only about 10 minute... more

Stayed for 1 night in July 08. Was upgraded from a 4 bed dorm to double room at no extra cost. No towels as is basically a hostel but if they give you bed linen why not add a towel. Good common areas with wireless internet. Toast, tea, coffeea and basic condiments included in price. Luggage storage at a small... more

Stayed 2 nights at this disgusting place. I can actually still smell the apartment now as I type this review. I took a friend from London to Liverpoolfor the first time who was totally put off by this 'so-called' apartment. When we got to the room there was a terrible stench - we soon realised IT HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED... more

The girl at the front desk very unhelpful, almost obnoxious. seemed only concerned with getting the fare for the room and then had no further interest. I booked 2 nights but did not stay the first night. I called ahead to let them know out of courtesy and to confirm that i could book in early the second day. The... more

This hostel also has apartments available which we stayed in. 90 euro for one bedroom apartment per night. It was great, all the mod cons you could ask for, really clean as if newly decorated. It's in a great location with lots of nice bars and restaurants close by. Really easily accessible from the airport by bus. I couldn't fault... more
