Reading some of the reviews before I went and then back since I have been I think it makes a difference to how you are treated whether you are male or female. I wasn't made to feel welcome by the staff. The other residents were lovely but the staff definitely not. Whereas men were welcomed with open arms. One of... More

GOOD: Loved the chilled out atmosphere and the supreme friendliness of the staff here. Everyone was so nice and there was never any problem giving advice on where to go or what to do. The hostel manager put on a BBQ during a big football game and then invited everyone to eat his hamburgers... super nice! The all-day coffee and... More

This Place makes Time travelling possible. From the very beginning on i enjoyed my stay at the Embassie. The staff ( which includes Students, Friends, Family members and many more..) makes you feel welcome and gives you an unterstanding of what it means to downshift in these fast and modern times. Not only because of the Beatles, music plays an... More

I really liked how you could help your self to bread, tea, coffee and breakfast all day which was good! free parking which was really good if you have a car!! only thing that could improve is opening the window more as it got really hot in the dorm as the window could only open a little bit

Great friendly hostel about a mile from the town centre and close to the Cathedral. Tea and coffee always available is always a good sign, as is toast. Especially welcome after a long drive or a long day. Kevin and his grand son make you feel welcome and at home. Very helpful. Well worth a visit if you are ever... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in a private room and had a great time. The hostel is welcoming, laid back and loveable. As you walk around the building you sometimes feel like you are in the Weasley's Burrow (perfect for fans of Harry Potter!) We loved how the hostel offered free toast, cereal, coffee and tea... We spent 1 night at the hostel and had booked on a Thurs, so as not to miss Kevin's great free Beatles' tour of the city. On arrival, he made us welcome and gave us directions to places of interest. We used a parking permit to leave the car right outside. Having requested 2 bottom bunks in the girl's 12... More

Since the moment I got into the Embassie hostel, I felt there was a unique atmosphere, much more friendly and personal than most of the hostels I had been to. The staff are doing their best to make you feel at home and they manage it! I was lucky to arrive there on a Thursday, the day Kevin is doing... More

This is like being at home atmosphere, very welcoming, so much so that there were visitors that stay awhile, end up moving to liverpool and still come over to visit and help the guests. The owner, Kevin, has an inside scoop with the early Beatles, which makes his walking tour so grand with added bits of history. Very helpful explaining... More
