We stayed with our 2 year old son and felt very comfortable and welcomed by the staff-they even asked him to draw them a picture which they then hung in reception. The location is excellant, lovely views and short walking distance to attractions and shops. The dining room was lovely-great views, very relaxed and good food at pub prices. The rooms are small, basic... more

I stayed there with my brother on a 5 day holiday and it was better than I expected, having read the reviews on several websites. Yes the room and bathroom is small but it didn't bother us - it's clean and comes with hairdryer, TV and a kettle for tea/coffee. Breakfast was great with both continental and English breakfast. The... more

Just returned from 2 very unsettled nights at this hotel. First night was the usual ignorant door slammers, second night a group of burnt out old 'has beens' with no respect for ANYONE, dead opposite our FAMILY room. Thank god we didnt have our 16 month old with us!! Hotel had to tell them numerous times to keep it down... more

I stayed 4 days in the Dolby Hotel with the purpose of watch a game of Liverpool vs Wigan in Anfield. The bus stop is in 5 minutes walking. The night time, bars, pubs close to lime street (Main station) are in 25 minutes walking, but the walk is pretty good, because you watch the albert dock, the new awesome... more

The Dolby Hotel is a very basic hotel, clean and small. Good Points: The location I thought was pretty good - a ten minute walk from the Albert Dock and 15mins wals from the city centre. There is plenty of parking there aswell and there is no charge - so you dont get any nasty suprises when you get there.... more

Booked a triple room here through Expedia for less than £40 for the night. Knew it would be basic but for a one night stay we took the chance. The hotel is on a busy main road and we were glad we had used the internet to pinpoint its location. It is in a quiet area of the docks but... more

Good points - 10 minute walk to Albert Dock which has fantasic Maritime Museum, Tate Liverpool and Beatles Story - all worth seeing. Dining room of hotel looks out on Mersey so very nice at night. Food good value - similar to pub food. Could do better - we were allocated a room that smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. We... more

I stayed in this hotel with 3 friends over the August bank holiday. The hotel location is very good: close to the Albert Dock and city centre. We paid £65 per room, having booked months before. The rooms are small and both of ours had a double bed and a single bunk above. As previous reviewers have pointed out, the... more

Was a bit nervous of staying here as the reviews were mixed. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. It was great value which was one of the reasons that I was a little apprehensive. We arrived in the hotel very early so they kept our bags until we came back later to book in. The room was small... more

Stayed in this hotel on 8th/9th Aug, cost £105.00, having read some of the reviews we where expecting the worse!! staff were very friendly, room was very clean, bathroom is small but quite mangeable, 10 mins walk to the town center, big free car park, charge extra for breakfast, but we found it very good value! for a budget hotel.... more
