This place is easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. And I have stayed in some funny places. I don't understand how they managed to get 3 stars. It is just terrible. It is severely run down and in need of serious updating. The mattresses are awful. The rooms are awful. Everything is just awful. I felt like... More

Upon arrival we checked out the facilities, they seemed ok apart from every chair in reception had large stains on them. Before going out we checked at reception that information in our room was correct as it stated the bar was open till midnight. We were assured that this was correct. We returned to the hotel at 11.15PM and went... More

Stayed for two nights as we attended a wedding. The grounds and outside of the hotel are nice, but the inside is very tired and outdated. Our room was a good size, nice bathroom and comfy bed, but the hotel in general does need to be refurbished. Breakfast was a disappointment. The cereals are open in bowls, the coffee is... More

If you want a basic hotel at a reasonable price then this place fits the bill. Yes, it needs updating and yes it looks tired and in need of redecoration, but for a one night stay it was fine. The staff are friendly and welcoming and if you have a problem they will deal with it quickly and effectively. We... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Devonshire due to its closeness to Anfield, which was a 25 minute walk away! There was initially an issue with the double room but the friendly staff quickly rectified the situation to a twin. The room was spacious, clean and Sky TV in the room. The included breakfast was more than adequate and... More

Although I thought this hotel was a bit tired and needed some TLC,it was clean and we got a good breakfast. Nice fluffy towels and tea making facilities but the shower was pathetic. The staff were very nice and helpful. The garden was very well cared for, yet the rooms need a lick of paint !

Dirty rooms, cheap food and awful staff! The beda were clean but that was the only good thing, a place that specialises in functions withbut no customer care, ten people cramed onto a table for six or eight, such sloppy food service, we literally had it slapped onto the plates, the waitress leaned across in front of one person to... Appalling, paid £125 for one nights stay, the room was disgusting and nothing like the pictures on the hotels website. Beware, our room was number 353 and situated in the attic, I was so shocked I filmed the room and hallway everyone is stunned by how bad this place was avoid at all costs

I read the reviews and was a bit anxious. However our stay was comfortable the staff friendly. The breakfast good. I have stayed at travel lodge before and this hotel was far better although not as modern. It could do with a bit of a face lift bit of decorating but that by no means stopped us having an joyable...
