I booked a room at this hotel in feb, for may as my friend was getting married there. I wanted to book early to make sure i got a room as i am pregnant and didnt want to mess around with a hotel miles away. Well i wish i had now! I rang the week before the wedding to confirm,... more

I stayed at the devonshire hotel for 2 nights with my partner and daughter we arrived late on friday really tired and just wanted to get to sleep, but couldnt because there was a party in the hotel with extremly loud music which didnt stop until about 2am after this the couple in room beside us decided it was fun... more

We loved this hotel, though it appears tired in areas the staff and food was fanstatic, the gardens were beautiful, very close to the motorway easy getaway, value for money more

This hotel is perfect to stay in on business. I found it good value @£45/night incl an adequate breakfast. It has a lot more charm than the chain hotels. The staff were friendly & helpful and the free wifi means that my skype phone worked perfectly. It has great parking and a back entrance which means that you don't have... more

Not in the best part of town, although handy for the motorway, and a quick getaway. Staff were friendly. Hotel's seen better days. My room was very spacious, and quiet, although the decor a bit dated. Bed was old and not very comfortable, and I was getting warm water from both taps in the (otherwise ok) bathroom. Breakfast was fine. more

This hotel is the nasty place I have ever stayed!! I was at the hotel for a wedding which to say the least was a disaster due to the lack of care, consideration, thought and intelligance due to all staff. In short the top table was left with out napkins or glasses, food came out cold and under cooked, cd... more

I booked a twin room. Positives: The room was spacious and bedding was clean and crisp, the towels were clean and fluffy, the weekday staff were friendly. Negatives: The toilet was dirty and I had to purchase bleach from nearby petrol station to clean the toilet. The pub which is mentioned on the hotel website is only open on Thurs... more

My sister and I stayed here - thankfully - for only one night. The overall appearance of the hotel was shabby and dirty and the area was very dilapidated. We were given a single room with two single beds crammed into it so there wasn't room to swing a cat. The TV didn't work, the kettle leaked and the bathroom... more

We are two travellers from Greece who came to Liverpool ''by accident'' and we book this hotel at the last minute..We were afraid that this hotel would be awful by reading these reviews. However, the room was unexpectedly big, clean with a large bathroom (we booked a twin room) with private bathroom in a special price) and the staff was friendly.... more

The staff on the desk were very friendly. The hotel corridors and lift were dark and old-fashioned. In the room itself, the main light did not work and the furniture was very cheap, almost falling apart when the drawers were used. The bed base had broken so that the top half was fine but the bottom half formed a concave... more
