We stayed for 1 night, and were overall fairly happy with our stay. However, it cost us ~£110 for a twin room which was about £25-30 too much for what we got. It wasn't an en-suite we were in, but the bathroom was ok (across the corridor); shower was average (going hot/cold). Breakfast in the morning was pretty decent, although... More

Dear Colin B, Thank you very much for your review, we really value your feedback. We have been working hard to complete the refurbishment of our bedrooms, I'm pleased to say that we only have a few more weeks to go. I have also noted your comment about the shower in the bathroom for 306, this is something we will... More

I must say what a view to wake up with in the morning !!!! Stayed with a couple of friends for a getaway break for a couple days and what a getaway it was, rooms were lovely and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was great and set us up for the rest of the day. We ate in the restaurant and... More

I had lunch at this hotel a few weeks ago. Staff were very friendly and helpful, prices reasonable. There is no disabled access and quite a number of stairs to enter the restaurant. The toilet facilities are down more stairs but the staff allowed me to use their staff facilities which was very much appreciated. The food is good and... More

Dear Dorreen S, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback with us, we really value your comments. Unfortunately as we are located in a conservation area we are restricted as to the modifications which we can make to the building and there is several steps up to our front door. We understand that some of... More

Hotel is basic but clean, fresh and welcoming. The two things that make it stand out above the rest and make the average £6-8 taxi ride from town centre worth it are 1) The excellent staff, they can't do enough for you, friendly and courteous and 2)The restaurant - food was excellent Will definitely stay again - good cheap honest... I booked this hotel for 6 x 5 night stays as I am working in Liverpool for a large nearby TV production company, and it's on their local accommodation list. The manageress told me in writing that the rate they had offered last year to people from the company I am working for was to be increased from £36 to... More

Dear Adam, Thank you for your review. Whilst I would never disagree with a customer I do think it is important that we clarify a few points. 1: We increased our midweek commercial rate on double rooms for sole use from March 1st 2014. We did not increase them the week prior, nor was the increase £10.00 per night. The... More

Upon arrival we were greeted after a few minutes at a shabby reception by one young gentleman and one young lady who were surprisingly casually dressed! After initially booking through their own website (where the hotel looks 100% better and nicely furnished that what it actually is!) and having the £189 debited from my account, upon checking out I was... Dear N M, Thank you for your recent review. I'm very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience at our hotel. One night stay. Attracted by the price. £49 inc breakfast for 2. First impression of room was..well it was £49. The en-suite was small with a small shower. However, it became clear that the room, and indeed the hotel, had been worked on. All the décor was fresh, the en-suite had been refitted and the shower had to be small... More

As a lone female business traveller I am always conscious of my personal safety. It was strange that the cab driver didn't even drive into the driveway of this hotel, just bumped up the pavement for me to get out, but I guessed he might be in a rush to get back into town...... The welcome was pleasant enough and... More

Sefton Park Hotel is a beautifully restored Victorian Villa overlooking the Boating Lake in Sefton Park, the largest park in Liverpool. It is one of the original detached houses on the perimeter of the park where rich merchants and shipping magnates once lived in style. Today it offers a warm friendly welcome, comfortable accommodation and quality food and drink which is served in Astrid's Bar and Michelngelo's Italian Restaurant. More modern history confirms that 'The Blenheim' was, infact, the family home of the fifth Beatle, Stuart Sutcliffe in the 1960s. Stuart's family continued to live here until 1970. ... more   less
