A cheap and cheerful hotel a stone throw from the Lime St.station. The contempory room was very clean and tidy with a 40" tv. The on-suite looked as if it had been recently refurbished. For a 2 star hotel this was basic but smart. This has made for a cheap and pleasant stay in the heart of the city centre. More

We are Scousers and very familiar with Liverpool town centre and this hotel, we were very pleased with our stay, yes the building is dated but get over it, and admire for what it is. You can hear noise outside, but hey you're in the centre of a major city! Beds were comfortable, room clean, tea/coffee making was there. Has... More

If you are looking for a budget hotel near the station then this is it. lees tan 5 min from lime st station. Don't expect much, typical 2 star hotel, Bar prices very reasonable, continental breakfast, No phone in the room or a desk but a huge TV with freeserve channels. Its under new management and redecoration at present. I... More

I was disconcerted by some of the reviews of The Lord Nelson but it is undergoing a bit of a re-vamp and maybe not all the rooms were up to scratch. My double room was clean and tidy. The staff were helpful especially the breakfast lady who was constantly topping up the continential breakfast, as the hotel was full at... More

I felt like I "took a chance" by booking Lord Nelson, considering a lot of poor reviews. As I had to wait for 20 minutes to check in, waiting for the clerk to finish speaking on the phone, I thought "bummer...". However. My room (no. 224, single room) was actually pretty nice. The staff was helpful when I had some... More

Lord Nelson is a good and cheap hotel in the centre of Liverpool just 50 meters from the central Lime street station. The personnel is willing and polite. It is clean and considering room price and location it is a very good choice for those going to Liverpool for a business 3-4 days trip. More

This was definitely the worst hotel I have stayed in outside of Africa. A small, unclean room with a bare light bulb and not even a valance on the bed. Opaque windows thankfully hid the bombsite car park in front of the hotel. There were no cupboards in the room, merely a shelf with a few coat hangers. The entrance... More

We do apologise the guests felt this way about the hotel. The hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment and we have had extremely positive feedback from the majority of the guests who have already stayed here. We provided and always offer an altenative option i.e change of room, if guests are unhappy with the one they a have been given.... More

I arrived at 22:50 on Saturday night. Checking in was straight forward. I stayed 5 days. Breakfast was a simple but tasty continental style with as much as you want. Coffee permanently filled up. All the staff were excellent, friendly and efficient even at my normal returning time of mid-night to 3am each night. Well done and keep up the... More

Me and my wife were first time in Liverpool city to watch the football match. We stayed at the hotel for one night and the first impression when we have got there were nice. Than we asked for the check in and they could not check us in because it was too early. We asked about the restaurants in the... More

We do apologise that the guests felt this way. The bar member of staff in question initially welcomed the guests into the function which was a private function. This member of staff has five years of bar experience and is well aquainted with spirit measures. She has assured myself that the guests were served the full measure and has apologised... More

I have stayed in 4 hotels in my tenure of 2 months in Liverpool. This is the best hotel i could rate. The staff is very co-operative and rooms are cozy with 42" TV (best i have seen) with loads of channel any hotel could provide. Free broadband (none other hotel could provide) - I would come here again. Highly... More
