Stayed here on Saturday night , have stayed a few times before. Check in and out was very quick and easy! We stayed on the 10 floor but at the back of the building so no view. Room was small but liveable for a night or 2. The bed was really hard and uncomfortable I dont remember it being like that the times before. We came back for a drink in the bar after our gig but only had the 1 £6.50 for a bottle of peroni and £15.50 for a double gin and lemonade is ridiculous prices. Definitely think there’s more money to be made in having cheaper drinks rates for guests.

Abdoul was very helpful, pleasant and fast in his service. He listened to my requests and helped me immediately. I think he does a good job serving to people. I requested a knife and salt and they arrived immediately. Thank you very much for your service.

We arrived at the Mecure Hotel, Liverpool. What can I say. The hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel by any means. The rooms are extremely small. Can barely walk around the room. The twin beds were joined together as there is no room to pull the beds apart. There is hardly any room to move around. The bathroom is soooo small when the door is opened it touches the bath. You have to move into the bathroom shut the door to even see the toilet. It is literally that small. The toilet paper is one ply only. There is no shaving mirror in there, no shower mat. We booked three rooms for the 6 of us. One of rooms didn’t have a bedside table. Had to use our suitcase to put phones etc next to bed. The room wasn’t cleaned at all. When I contacted reception I was informed all house keeping staff had gone home therefore No one could come to clean the room. Reception staff would come and give bath towels etc. That was it. No explanation why it wasn’t done in the first place. A hotel this size and no housekeepers after 4.30!!! The level 2 bar was a more like a cafe than a four star bar. We wanted to sit there and enjoy a few drinks to celebrate my friend’s 70th birthday. No cocktails menu. Prices were extortionate for the place it was. The place is shocking. Will not be booking again. We paid in total over £800 for the weekend.

The receptionist was very helpful on arrival. The room was clean and tidy on the 11th floor with great views only spoiled by the poor double glazing and mould which led to a lot of condensation. The breakfast had a good selection but wasn’t always topped up for guests and it was not hot. However the location is fantastic and the hotel has parking (£14 per day) very close by.

Whilst the location is great and the upgrade to a privilege room at check-in was a decent start, that's where the good review ends. Room 414 was incredibly tatty - the curtains were falling away from the runner and had holes right across them, the lampshades were filthy, fridge was dirty and the room was stuffy. The shower ran freezing cold despite the bath tap and sink tap running warm. The walls were paper thin and could hear the entirety of housekeeping's conversation in the hallway all morning. It was absolutely not worth £200 a night. Having spoken to other guests, our complaints were echoed! To add insult to injury, the general manager, Kerry Plant, who had her business card displayed in the room priding herself on customer care, hasn't replied to our complaint email.

Stayed for one night for business. Clean room, bathroom good (better than other budget hotels). Breakfast average and chaotic. Not ready at 6.30am as advertised, then they said they were doing table service but switched to buffet. Didn't like that jams etc were just a small amount in a bowl everyone was dipping into, Nutella jar empty. Could have had more hot options, would have liked mushrooms. There were baskets for pastries but they were never filled. The biggest issue was how thin the walls were, people were not being noisy but I could hear the lift announcements, people moving around the corridor and even the neighbours snoring and coughing (sounded like they were in the room with you, thank goodness they weren't doing anything else!)

We recently stayed for a Match in Liverpool and were very happy with this lovely hotel. We were met by Ella at reception she was so helpful and as we arrived on a very early flight she took our bags and told us our room would be ready by 11am. We came back just before 11am and room was ready. Up to 8th floor n lift, room was corner room very clean and comfortable. We had our 9yr old son with us and sofa bed all made up for him. We stayed two nights and couldn’t fault the hotel or staff. Again Ella informed us how we could get late check out which again was great for our night time flight home. Look forward to staying here again soon!
