After reading some awful reviews about the Adelphi we were dreading our visit. We didn't read the reviews until after we had booked. No need to worry though. The hotel was just lovely. Beautiful reception and communal areas. Triple bedroom was spacious with coffee table and chairs and 3 very clean and comfy beds. Lots of space for all of... More

Stayed here for two nights on a coach tour. The hotel in it's day was obviously magnificent but is now in desperate need of a refurbishment. It is a really beautiful, grand ,old building in a prime location but needs a lot of restoration work both inside and out. Our room was large but rather shabby. We were on the sixth... More

I am sorry to report that I walked out of the hotel one sunny morning looking at my map intending to walk up to the university, however, things took a turn for the worse when I fell down a decorative step in the pavement at the front of the hotel. It was awful, I twisted my ankle badly and probably... More

The sinking feeling continued along the long dingy corridor.... More

Hotel good for the price, breakfast and dinners were more than adequate and tasty, a little more choice would be good though, room fairly basic and probably ready for re-decoration but clean and ok. Staff, like everyone in Liverpool were helpful and friendly. We would go there again. More
