Slept above a Rave - well actually a boxing match - but may as we'll have been in same room !!!!!!!! Then . . . Flyers appeared under our door advertising prostitutes !!!!! . . . So it 's a knocking-shop too! Breakfast was like a cattle market!! SHOCKING !!!! What a dump !

First the positives. Check was good as we arrived about 11.30 and they allowed to put our bag in our room even if it hadn't been cleaned. The rooms downstairs are absolutley stunning, lounge is just fantastic. Breakfast was very busy but the staff coped brilliant. Food was plenty and warm. Bar prices very reasonable and the cocktails were very good.... More

THIS WAS THE WORST HOTEL WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN , EVER. I don't know where to begin. When we arrived at the hotel it was very deceiving with a grand entrance we were so impressed. Our thoughts soon changed when we came out of the lift into the hall ways. The corridors looked like something out of a horrow... More

Very grand interior and exterior. Lovely cheap drink and food, very clean room although bathroom was very dated. Hotel was noisey which may have been down to the fact a boxing match was taking part that night. Experienced two incidents one on the Saturday night when a man was very angry and lashing out outside the hotel and one on... More

Reunited with a university housemate after 20 years. Thought twas a suitable place to bunk in as there were many a ball we had there (and gate crashed during our student days). It still has its grandeur and old world charm but in need of refurbishment. There is no argument for space as our room 201 has its own separate... More

Stayed at the Adelphi Hotel Liverpool, purchased a Groupon voucher very good offer, with breakfast and evening meal for one night stay. We did upgrade rooms and had a lovely room , This is a 100 year Hotel with class. Food was very nice but unfortunately service not so good waitresses could do with showing they happy to work there.... More

I wanted to stay in this hotel because I love Art Deco, and once upon a time it was rated as the greatest hotel outside of London. What a tragic decline is in progress - right from the start, everything is wrong about this hotel - sloppy and unfriendly staff, openly yawning at reception. There are wonderful art deco fixtures... We arrived with friends on a bargain coach break and because of the reasonable price we paid did not have high expectations. We came away feeling that we would happily stay there again if a deal was available. Yes , the hotel is a bit faded but it still has location going for it, it's still grand, over 500 rooms,... More

Ok so I'm generally not one to write reviews but I said I'd have to write one after staying in this hotel. Myself and a friend checked into this Hotel on sat just passed after a very early morning flight.(room 606) both had a lay down in our twin room but couldn't get any sleep because the lift was right...
