Such a shame about this hotel as it's in a prime location for the town centre, Liverpool docks etc and has an amazing history. It is so run down though and both the Maintainance and Housekeeping are of poor standard as is the food. It's as though Britannia have no care for this. It could be the best hotel in... More

Not sure what I say about this hotel !! We only booked it because of the price, & you do get what you pay for !! So it was ok. When the hotel was opened, it must of been fantastic,it was reopened for the sailing of the Titanic,The Sefton Suite, is in fact a replica of the first class smoking... More

Nice hotel, busy hotel. Good location for shoping in liverpool. Stayed here on a national holidays trip. Visited the Carvan . All the attractions are close by. Only problem is the buses getting in the small space outside the hotel.

As a Liverpool girl, The Adelphi was always so posh and way beyond our budget. However we stayed ther the other night on a visit to Liverpool. As expected the hotel was extremely grand and the public rooms are still rather magnificent. The bedrooms however need some TLC and deserve it too. They were were comfortable and clean though. We... I'm just back from a four night stay at this hotel, looks fantastic from the outside, but that's were it ends. Good points first, the location is great, the staff were really good, the food was okay. Now the bad points, the rooms are being neglected, paint peeling, wallpaper falling off the walls. The rooms all looked as if they... More

In our opinion the place/room are a bit tired but was more than adequate for a stay over. The staff were great, especially those in the dining room. We were greeted well and given all instruction about how to get to our room, how and where to park. about meals times etc. Really good value for money

If you are the sort of person who is pleased with what you get and u want a hotel in central location this is the place for you.I stayed here, as a single traveller, for 4 nights part of Shearings coach holidays.I got a spacious twin room, yes it was tired and dated but suited me.The food in the dining... This elegant old lady is showing signs of her advanced years but still retains her grandeur. The rooms are clean but slightly shabby but made up for by the beauty of the lobby. Breakfast was an adequate buffet style offering both hot and cold options. The only black mark has to be Spindles leisure and health spa which is a... More

Stayed overnight Sunday. The hotel has been stunning in it's day but it is very tired. It was a bit chaotic at the reception desk on arrival as there didn't appear to be a normal book in process. Our room wasn't ready on our arrival albeit that we were issued with our key card. The cleaner, however was lovely and... More

This hotel is enormous and the interior is lavish however the once you get in the few lifts, which do not instil confidence, and ascend to the bedrooms you realise how this hotel needs a good renovation. We do not smoke and did not ask for non-smoking as we thought this was no longer allowed in hotels. The room stank... More
