I was in Liverpool for a football match and booked in this hotel, my room was on the third floor and was very, very, i mean very narrow, the distance between the 2 beds was probably 20 cm, and the bathroom again was sized as the room. Didn t have breakfast. One good thing is definatly the location just around... More

Stayed here for one night as I was over watching the football with my girlfriend. Horrible atmosphere entering the hotel, poor reception check in as not helpful at all. Rooms are very small and very dirty. Dust everywhere, stains on the sheets, leaking in bathroom and carpet was rotten also. The worst thing was when we made ourselves a cup... More

Stayed Sep 2012 after a trip to Manchester for a football game. We had arrived on the train after spending 2nights in Manchester. I was dreading this hotel after reading reviews but I was wrong. check In was quick, really helpful man on reception. I found that the hotel wasn't dirty except the stare case could do with a bit... Based right in the centre of the Matthew St area this hotel is ideal for pubs and clubs. It is also great for the shopping scene too. To have alap dancing club in the basement is also a big plus for a lads weekend. Unfortunatley the good review stops there. It was filthy inside and the beds were like sleeping... More

The room was dirty and dusty. Bed could only be accessed from one side. Single pillows so thin that they were almost none existant. The bathroom smelled of mould. Cleaners banging on door and shouting 'get out' every three minutes from 9.30 onwards. God knows why cos they'd never cleaned it before we went in. The only points this hotel... More

This is not a hotel on my opinion its a poor hostel, smelly claustrophobic, unkempt, you get a bad feeling as you enter it. The rooms are small moisy and airless, we couldnt open our window and the smell of gloss paint was overwhelming, we demanded our money back which was no problem the receptionist seemed to be used to... I travelled to Liverpool to attend a graduation..This was my first visit..When I arrived at the hotel I was horrified at the state of the hotel..it reminded me of a hostel I had stayed in Australia a number of years ago..The hotel only opens at weekends..it does not have a restaurant or bar...The room was disgusting ..no wardrobe ...no phone..beyond... I'm a pretty laid back person and have done lots of travelling but this was the worst place I've ever stayed in. The room was basic and initially looked ok but on closer inspection the carpet was stained, the bathroom tatty with push button taps like a public loo! the plug didn't fit so I couldn't run a basin of... Not being funny but I don't understand people complaining, you get what you pay for... Me and my boyfriend stayed here for one night. Central location and easy to find. No parking on site but a cheap over-night car park a short walk through the town (£5 for the night) which the lovely receptionist informed us about when we checked... More

Again, having read previous was a bit worried...i did know the location and that was the reason i had booked.....fab room (206), very clean - looked onto a brick wall - not a problem for us, we were not there to look out the window (!!) , cant say that we were bothered by noise (we were visiting mid-week), loud...
