This has got to be the dirtyest place i have ever stayed. The room was filthy . . dust all over the furnature, light fittings hanging down with bare wires and blood on the towels. The 'restauraunt/bar' was dirty. We asked for a bottle of white wine to which the barmade produced a bottle out of the fridge with a... More

Stayed here for one night although booked for four nights, stayed awake all night, mould in the bed, also hairs, damp covers, no soap, no towels, dirty sink, creeking floorboards, key not locking, dirty carpets and walls and curtains, just felt so dirty! No staff around to complain, so left early next morning, glad to be out!!!

Stayed here for 1 night on entering via the car park you are hit by the vile stink from the grotty loos. Our room had not been hoovered as in nail clippings on the carpet. No shower gell or shampoo no towels either TV had no signal only to find the Ariel had been removed out the wall. No one... More

This accommodation was booked for my colleague and I by our employer. Upon arrival we were greeted by a gentleman who extinguished his cigarette and then casually popped it into his pocket for later; when he led us through into the bar area for check-in we were overwhelmed by the aroma of wet dog and fustiness, with the culprit being... we stayed here overnight for our daughters graduation, it looked lovely on the web site , historic and close to where we needed to be. On arrival we had less than a warm welcome. The room itself was shabby, the shower door was broken and the shower itself had no hot water, we also only had one towel between us.... More

Pretty location near cathedral and steep hill, all the positives out of the way. The cottage and hotel are grubby and in need of thorough clean. Should be a cosy stone cottage, but poorly furnished with what looks like old student furniture. TV foreign and took some working out. Poorly maintained with a leak from bathroom through kitchen ceiling, lucky... More

We stayed at the Duke William for one night in December 2013 whilst visiting family in Lincoln. I had booked to stay at the Bailgate Apartments through LateRooms, but when we arrived we were told that we were staying in the hotel itself. The hotel is accessed brought the bar, and on walking up to the room through the dark... More
